That was a brilliant relaxing bit of viewing to watch Phil. The inclusion of that drone footage really added to the cinematic effect. I think that it was great of you, to not let the loss of your camera get you down. Instead you bought another, and with a smile on your face, you re-joined the camp on the following day.👍 It was great to meet you Phil, I really enjoyed your company and we shared a few laughs together. What a top camping experience this was mate.🙂

I've now seen everyone's different take on what looked like such a wonderful adventure. I just wanted to say Phil.. when you realised your camera had gone and you weren't getting it back, you must have been devastated.. it must have been such a horrible feeling. So, to get yourself together and to feel that you couldn't miss out on what would be such a memorable adventure, and get back up there the next day.. good on you mate and bet you're so glad you did. Brilliant. All the best buddy. 🏕️👍

You are right, it was awful. I couldnt understand how Id been so careless and just couldnt stay that night, but my lovely family gave me such encouragement and persuaded me to go back. It was a fantastic camp and we have all forged some brilliant friendships! Thanks for the comment!

Sorry to hear about the loss of your camera. I have fond memories of Kinder Downfall from when I first did the Pennine Way in 1987. The route then went up Grindsbrook Clough, through Kinder gates to the downfall. I remember thinking it was the most amazing spot ( and still have the picture ). Looked like a great camp. Oh and the poles will help with the airflow and separation. When I backpack with Judith I use her walking poles to pull it out.

@@huntonthetrails yeah, someone else was telling me that, funny because I'm sat at the top of grindsbrook typing my reply! They've damned the water courses in the middle so it's pretty boggy. I've seen your lanshan with poles at the side, another good way. Thanks for the comment Andy.

Hi Phil, loved this video mate. What was the camera that got lost/stolen? Good to see you camping with some familiar faces. Possibly a bit crowded for me, but you looked like you had a great time. Loved your drone videos, too. I'm hoping to include more drone footage on my vids over summer. Take it easy and God bless. Bri.

@PhilWaud Oh no! So sorry to hear that Phil. So what did you film this video with?
@PhilWaud2 ай бұрын
@@Glossopwildcamp The first scene was with my phone. As I explain in the video, I set off home because I was so pissed off. My daughters were urging me to go back, so I agreed to return for the second night. They then said they would buy me a new camera, which had me in tears! I picked it up from Argos on the way back to Edale.
