Is the size for keepers the same as offshore groupers

There this guy goes again doesn't even know the laws. Unbelievable. Don't take any suggestions from him he doesn't know anything of what he's doing. I tried to explain to him before that all the damage done to our ecosystem is because of overdevelopment and overpopulation. The retirement rush to Florida is ruining what once was true paradise. I remember 20 years ago catching snook after snook or red fish after redfish. Unfortunately now there's many places in Florida where it is suggested you don't even eat the fish. Then this fool comes back and says the native Floridians did it years ago. Hes obviously not very intelligent why would we tear down all the trees and completely devastate our waterways through development if only native Floridians were living here. We already had our homes. Apparently he doesn't understand when millions of people come into a state and tear it up so they have a place to live and work in a relatively short number of years has everything to do with the problems Florida is having. He States specifically in one of his replies to me that this was done years ago by Floridians. He also states that true Floridians are the real poachers. Real Floridians have always protected the best we can what we have and unfortunately now it's what we had. It's pretty much the most unbelievable comments I've ever heard in my life. I've watched the entire thing happen firsthand for 40 years. I think he needs to work on getting a little more educated before he opens his mouth let alone posts fishing videos of him doing basically whatever he wants. For God's sake he doesn't even have full confidence in the name of the species. "I believe it's called a Gag grouper" and then tries to educate another non Floridian. Wow. If he doesn't know the size limit for the same species between state and federal waters he should be banned from attempting and failing miserably to make educational videos. I'm sure he doesn't even know the difference between state and federal waters. If anybody listens to this guy and follows his lead there's a good chance it's going to lead to trouble for you. I'll tell you this though buddy you need to check the laws Everytime you go fishing for the most part because regulations change week to week sometimes depending on the species and time of year. This is a direct result of overfishing and habitat loss. You can ask me to meet you all you want. I could definitely educate you on a lot of things as far as fishing goes. Literally in the last 10 years the bleaching of our coral reefs has exasperated to the extreme as well as the loss of seagrass beds due to pollution and water runoff caused by all the development. All the rich people coming down here who want a beautiful yard and to live in Paradise who are using fertilizer all the time to achieve this is causing runoff which is devastating the sea grass. The sugarcane industry is also very much responsible in this instance as well. Just follow the laws dude make sure you know them every time you go out, make sure you know what kind of equipment you're allowed to use, make sure you know what the species is exactly, make sure you know if you can keep it if it's in season, make sure you know the size limits and please don't post any more videos were you literally have no idea what you're talking about. Species such as spotted sea trout and snook have multiple management zones which means that you could be fishing in one area and then go a mile down the waterway to another area and the laws such as seasons and size limits as well as numbers limits is completely different. Start learning from the right people who do the right thing. Then start posting videos. I have no problem with anybody who comes to this state and enjoys the resources responsibly. I hear some of the comments that you've gotten on some of your videos where people actually believe in what you're doing. Like I said the other day that's awesome for you but you have to be responsible with what you're doing. And to come back with that comment about Floridians being poachers is completely false and unreal that you would make that comment or even believe it. Bottom line get your facts straight and don't let me catch you f****** up my state. Do something to improve the fishing and the environment for our future generations is my challenge to you.

I said MOST not ALL. But for you to sit here and say the water ways are turning to shit because everyone’s moving to Florida, is just wrong. Most people sit inside and do nothing all day. @mirandamaher9465 Miranda, Your missing the point! If you don't keep good spots on the DL, it won't be a good spot for long! I don't even like people to watch me catch fish while I'm fishing, much less broadcast my spots on the internet! If you like the spot, it's just not smart! There are too many people here these days and so few spots for landlubbers to fish from... I've had people walk right into where I just caught a fish while I was taking him off the hook! Thank God, it's still doesn't help most people because they have the wrong equipment, and don't know what they are doing, so all they are doing is moving in on you and getting the the way. I will generally just pick up and go try to catch a fish in their spot! But unfortunately there is no fishing etiquette anymore! But thankfully 90% of the fish caught, are caught by 10% of the fisherman! 😂

@@FishicalTherapyy maybe I came off wrong. Main concern with inshore gag spots is people will keep even when undersized or out of season. Many land based spots that used to be really good would get blasted in a video and you would see a major decrease in spots that hold primarily residential fish.
