I live here too. You probably live near me. We live in 'Grovetown", but technically outside of city limits.

Whats the weather like in this area of Georgia? Like tornado risks and things like that?

Earthquakes, volcanos are non-existent. Tornados are rare. I don't remember any of significance in my lifetime. There have been a total of 49 recorded in history, like ever. Statistically lower than the US average, but I guess it could happen. In general the state of Georgia has very low risk or history of natural disasters.

My wife and I are looking to move to Grovetown by the end of August (we'll be in the area on Jule 11th looking at homes) Any information about the HOAs in that area? Are they good or are they --- well - not be offensive, but Karen-ville? As a vet, it will be nice to be near a military base. But, would it be easy to get to Florida from there?

Hey Richard, thank for watching and joining the conversation. And most of all, thanks for your service. Not sure that I can speak for all HOAs or communities. I'm sure there's a Karen in every neighborhood, some more than others. We'd be happy to discuss specific properties, communities and HOA's on your visit. @@LIVINGINATLGA Sory for the delay in getting back to you, but I've been extremely busy getting things on my end ready for a move (hopefully) We are working with Vickie in the area for buying a home. I was just looking for general information and other perspectives of what it is like living in Grovetown. From what I have seen, it's a pretty place and a great place to live. My major concern is the HOAs in the area. How (Karen) are they about things? Example: In the area I live in now (Newport, Vermont) I have my house with themed decorations (nothing outlandish) like ducks in the yard, with three little birdbaths and some bird feeders hanging up for the birds. I Have fairly lights around my porch that i leave on for most of the year as I can change the color of them to match the season. In the winter, I love decorating for Halloween and Christmas. Will these sort of things be an issue in the HOAs should we decide to buy a new house in one of those areas?

@@ArmyBikerVet it can honestly vary from community to community. Each HOA is different. You can have your agent reach out to each HOA board individually. Also pay close attention when you drive around the neighborhood and you’ll get a sense of what’s acceptable.
