Hi Jeff, what I like about your channel is that you don't focus on one kind of plant. You vary your collection and share so much info about them. Personally, I don't have the space for palms, but it's interesting to learn about them. Winter has officially started here, and I'm already looking forward to warmer temps and plants outdoors!!! By the way, I saw my first spotted lantern lanternfly this week at my house, they are moving into our county, apparently. So invasive and destructive!

Nice addition, I recommend getting a Bactris mexicana, it's a clustering spiny palm with very tropical-looking fronds and its fruits are red.

Love this video Jeff. Cool suggestions for indoor palms, I will take careful note. Brahea Armata also a really good indoor houseplant even here at 55°N. I've had one indoors for 5 years. Bismarckia seem to enjoy the indoor dryness also👍

We got about 4 inches of snow yesterday, it’s suppose to get up to 42 today so I’m hoping it will all go away. It can come back later after I’ve stocked up on groceries for a month or two. 🦃🍁🍂💚🙃

I consider you the palm expert ❤ But if I am allowed to add something, it's that in my experience, palms outdoors "may not" need direct sunlight (depending on the variety) , but indoors the closer to a north/south facing window the better ❤ I grew two palms the same variety indoors, the one that had direct sun from a window did great, but the one away from the window, maybe 5ft got sick full with Milly bugs 😢. I lost that last one

I think you need Arenga ryukyuensis, the dwarf sugar palm from Ryuku Japan that grows smaller and needs less light than the somewhat larger Arenga engleri.

I'm so very happy to see you doing a video about palms. This next year is the year of the palms for me. Meaning, I am trying to suck up as much information I can about them, including which are best for me and the conditions I can give them. I just received a book recommendation from master gardeners in Manatee County Florida called "Ornamental Palm Horticulture" by Timothy Broschat and Alan Meerow. I can't wait to read it. And I put in "tropical plant party palm trees" in the search box on KZbin and watched many of your palm videos. Now I dream about palm trees nightly, lol

These seem like interesting palms to try out I’d probably put them out here in northwest Florida from Late March to November in semi shady area. Would you believe here in Pensacola FL we got a cold front come through Halloween and last night and tonight temps to 39 and wind chill near 32 could be a record. Had to hustle to get plants in garage for a couple night then by Friday temps back in 50s at night. Just crazy

Some I’m struggling to decide on the lights for my grow space in North Carolina. I have mostly palm trees and Tree Ferns in my garage. You can spend a fortune on them, but I noticed that you didn’t have high-end lights and yours what would you recommend?

I have 2 palm trees inside but last summer I bring them outside the leaves were burned and i cut them but after a year they didnt grow any leaf they are unside does they grow leaf when you cutfrom bottom pls
