Not sure what you mean about the JM Press and elbow pressure; most people should indeed get MORE pressure on the JM, and as you know this is NOT a bad thing. It’s an indication that the elbow joint is taken to end range/maximally compressed. Unless you’re saying JM is an anecdote to skull crushers being overused. People have to be more “honest” with the JM than with the skull crushers.

In the first two biceps exercises, the shoulders are fully in extension. In other words, seems to me they are more similar than implied.
@loganvitalos4278Ай бұрын
not quite my man. the difference between the two cable curls is what position they bias for the biceps. the first biases the shortened position, and the second biases the lengthened position
@Mohmmed18Ай бұрын
I heard Dr Mike saying before that in biceps exercise you can move your elbow forward after finishing the movement to get that peak and full stretch after that and it will benefiting you

No hate but OH extensions dont “bias” long head it just gives slightly more activation than a standard push down. Anything where you perform glenohumeral extension biases the long head as you’re medial and lateral head can’t perform that action. Also ur bicep performs glenohumeral flexion (yes your anterior delts do too) so why would you not do that for more activation? Also holding the stretch especially if exasperated causes unnecessary fatigue for no additional benefit to hypertrophy. (Assuming someone is not a beginner) Maybe it keeps you safer especially when enhanced. Also based off ur own logic wouldn’t a French press be more beneficial than a JM press given that you can stretch your triceps more in that exercise?

Knew these looked familiar. And this makes me further question whether the exercises chosen are fundamentally different. In both, the shoulders are fully in extension.
