Why would people moan he doesn't go heavy when showing what to do, look at the size of him, we know he can go heavy if he wants to but he don't need to. He's not going to show how to do a movement and jump straight in to a heavy set and risk injury just to show a move
@BigBoss-zi5ss
@BigBoss-zi5ss 9 ай бұрын
I dont get that either ...ppl are a pain in the ass and annoying..he already did his years of heavy lifting and was a pro bodybuilder...he is retired now ..the days of heavy training are prob over for him but his experience is what matters.

Some people are just ignorant to the concept of showing a movement with proper form vs going heavy on that particular lift.

I have always felt and believed that this is the muscle that no matter what cable exercise it is, you can match free-weight results. *The rest it's a mixed bag.* Take for example, cable curls. The lying cable curl is IMO the superior curl to all others unless you're so strong you can curl 250 or 300lbs, but some other cable curls can't compete with free weights without a lot of rep, set and load adjustments from what seems intuitive.

Hey Lee. I've been pretty athletic most of my life and had phases of gym, torn my shoulder and I'm 29 and wondering if it's too late to start body building at my age or no point because of my shoulder? I'm joking I'll train around my shoulder and have been going to gym nearly every day because of late because I know you would just say, "no excuses, just fucking jump into it". I love your advice, straight to the point, and I know you're an Aussie like me. Love that your still going hard and have a beast mentality. Keeping it real

Best tri tips. Insane that we can get tips and trix from an olympian FOR FREE!!! I must say you current fysique is more inspiering in a way than when compeeting. Im a 41yr natty hobby builder enthusiast and sure no way will I get your current tris or forearms but you look more like the ultimate peek natty (ok a bit over what any gym rat could ever do) STILL! But a watered down version of your current fysique (and thats a lot of water haha) is something I can relate to. When compeating you did not look human even it was like comparing fysique to a gorilla no way! Thnx, and I think you forearms are insane and it makes me want to care less about biceps. Shoulders then forearms then tris then biceps thats whete its at if you are natty and just want to look impressive in day to day with a tshirt on and no pump. GOAT, and you and Jay have the best post comp fysiques.

Lee once made a video where you can press your palms on the bar and basically create tension on the tricep using your bodyweight - This worked for me. Question is: Would cables / Body weight deliver create the same level of tension that say a close grip bench / Dips or skull crushers do? I feel as though each while it can fatigue the muscle has a different focus, feel and impact? Or is it just your doing compounds and using more secondary muscles that creates the explosiveness of compounds and its all in my head that cables aren't effective unless your ending or warming up?

Maybe it's just me, but what is so hard about just pulling the thing down and go? Feels really nitpicky and tbh there's merit to letting the elbows move up slightly when reaching failure - triceps also assist arm extension back down.
@glockgopop
@glockgopop 8 ай бұрын
Interesting his range of motion is less than Cutler and other BB dudes you'll watch. Personally I get way more of a stretch letting the elbow move up more like on pushdowns or back on overhead extensions. Mike Van Wyck does a good job explaining it. Also Cutler sometimes does pushdowns right on top of the cable like he said not to do. When you flare out elbows on that you get a different angle and work on the tri's. But to each their own...
