A lovely looking soup Mrs. W, it is now on my list to do. I would love to see Mr. W's sour dough journey and other bread making. I am growing more and more discontent with most shop bread. Thank you both for the enjoyable and educative videos.

Good tip with the vermiculite, an alternative is to bottom water which I find best when they are small but it can be easy to forget to take them out if you get busy doing something else! I always grow purple sprouting broccoli but never Calabrese, definitely going to try it next year!
@nodignorfolkgardener45752 ай бұрын
Thanks for sharing your insights! Bottom watering can be a great technique, especially for young plants. I always water seeds from the bottom to stop them being spread all over the place. Good luck with the Calabrese next year!

This series is so helpful with the dates and the detail. Not to mention the recipes. That soup is straight onto our menu this week. I make all our bread and I have made sourdough, particularly when no yeast could be found in the shops for a couple of years 2020/2021. I will be interested to see how you fare. We use the brocolli stalks blitzed in a food processor and stir fried as rice on many occasions.

Thank you for your kind words Ken! It means a lot to know that the series is making a difference. Can't wait to hear how the soup turns out for you - and I may be contacting you for advice on sourdough and the starter - really love the idea of broccoli rice - thanks so much for sharing!
