I’ve collected 6 bags full of leaves so far and put it into my compost with 5 bags of horse manure and the vegetable waste. I will be collecting more leaves too.

I was a little late watching this one but glad I did. Like to see how you pruned your berries. I'm hoping to have my blackberries I planted this year take off next year and I'll be getting some raspberries in also.

I'm glad you found the video helpful Frank! Pruning can make such a difference in berry production. I'm sure those blackberries will get away next year. Wishing you lots of success with your blackberries and raspberries next season!

Hi Barry & Mrs W. I've put gutter guard (mesh) over my gutters to protect them from leaves collecting- saves me a lot of time scraping them out. We also have them on the house gutters. They are not expensive. I have hung my sunflower heads on my bean arch.I am moving some of my soft fruit to my new allotment, to give my bushes at home more space and light. Hopefully all the plants will appreciate it and thrive. I m watching the weather forecast like a hawk, so I can get my salvias, fuchsias, dahlias and Cannas under cover and safe.I have just started collecting my leaves for next years leaf mulch. We have some beautiful leaf mulch from last year ready to go on the flower borders. I've been busy planting my bulbs. The squirrels and mice took most of them last year, so I have put chicken wire over them this year, fingers crossed they will be ok. Happy gardening 🙂

@@nodignorfolkgardener4575 Still watching the weather forecasts but it seems that we are in for a couple of weeks of above average temps so giving me more time to prep all my tender plants for over winter storage.

My raspberries are incredible. They started fruiting in June and are still producing at the moment. We’ve even got strawberry plants outside which are flowering and producing fruit. I’ve got fuschias flowering too. The garden seems to be as confused about this year’s weather as we are.

Barry What are the sowing dates for the three types of broccoli.
@nodignorfolkgardener4575
@nodignorfolkgardener4575 2 ай бұрын
Great question! The sowing dates for broccoli depend on the variety, but generally, you can start sowing early spring, but we sow ours beginning of June and transplant early July!

My onions were amazing this year. I have tied them in bunches, but can you tell me the best place to store them. Relatively new to gardening. Thanks.

Great to hear your onions turned out amazing! For storage, hang them in a cool, dry, frost-free place - such as a shed - until you need to bring them into the kitchen or a pantry or cellar. This will help them last longer!

I had to stop watching after i saw you "clearing" a gutter. Never came across a time when my hand wasn't the best tool. You've used a "trowel "? Hmmm. Not a person i need to take advice from so. Planting November advice hopes dashed. Shall go elsewhere

Why does it make any difference how you clear a gutter ? Surely it’s the advice being given not the technique in this instance?
