I will say this... I've had a growatt 24v system for years now and it hasn't skipped a beat. But.... they need to do a better job with the wiring box and terminals.

Bought a house with 3 x 5kw growatt system that was about 2 years old. 1 inverter kept faulting and something popped after I switched everything off and back on again, and that was about two weeks after moving in. Another one popped about a year later, fortunately just before I replaced the popped one. I replaced them all with a 16kw Sunsynk. Will never use growatt again. Also, the support here in South Africa is very poor.

Does the RSD remote emergency button also shut down the inverter AC output if power is sourced from the batteries?

I don't know about that switch, but for others reading this the relevant code rules are NFPA 70 480.7 "DC Disconnect Methods" and 690.12 "Rapid Shutdown of PV Systems on Buildings"

Is that 10k shared between 120 phases 5k/5k, or is the full 10k available on each like in the EG4 18K? Up to the max 10 total of course, I'm not asking if it can do 20k.

I suggest you send out a few to youtubers to get a more indept review and a better look at this inverter i have a growatt 6kw it's realy noisie and it's not stackable

Have to agree on the connections 100%. But for the boards, I would rather have sister boards like this for a few reasons. Basic boards like this get you that extra 8% energy, They also give you the 20-40 less power consumption But most of all this make it so you can repair the inverter at home
