Growing Bush Beans Indoors: Easy, Step-By-Step Tutorial

What’s cool about bush beans, is that there are many varieties of heirloom seeds available. My favorite heirloom bush bean seeds are Provider, though I’ve tried quite a few and been happy with them all. I buy them from Baker Creek heirloom seeds, Renee‘s garden, Fedco seeds, and territorial seeds. Fedco is one of the best seed catalogs out there. I’ve learned a lot from them over the years. Nothing flashy, just the real thing. Are you going to try growing bush beans, and doors?

I’m growing a couple of varieties of bush beans in pots, but outside right now. I live in Mississippi, zone 8a, and we won’t get a hard frost until November. I think I’ll try growing some inside too. Thank you for the tips.👍 PS….the view outside your window is beautiful!🤗

@@TheUpBeetGardener I am in the West coast of Canada and starting this time of year due to North East windows I use LED grow lights from Amazon and grow a variety Tomatoes, also Basil, Thyme, Oregano and self pollinating Cucumbers like crazy. I let some of the tomatoes get "over ripe and am on my 5 year with the seeds and let some of the herbs seed also. I have become a big fan of the grow lights after being skeptical at first. Mine are on "stalks" btw get the "good" ones you wont be disappointed.

Great video! I may have to give this a go! I started off with one houseplant, and now we have them in almost every room of the house with a window. It took me awhile to figure out which plants grow best where in my house, but now we love having them everywhere!

@@TheUpBeetGardener It's taken us a long time to figure out what works best here, but we have some favorite succulents + plants like the Vicks plant, fresh herbs, etc. It's always changing, and we're always learning.

That’s OK, I was lost on it too, for years. Then I started looking into old proven methods of fertilizing plants. And urine has been used for centuries. In fact, communities around the world are looking at how to save water, as in when we flush water down the toilet with a little urine in it. How to divert urine so we can save one of our most precious resources, water. Does that make sense?

Yes. It's uncomfortably true. Urine is an excellent natural Fertilizer for the soil. She was correct. 😊

I know, it's hard to know when Nature slips into the next season.. and hard to let it go sometimes. Trust the process. I don't know about peas, though, unless you have tall ceilings or grow shorter snap peas.
