I really enjoy your videos. That is a lot of bean plants in a small area. It reminds me of broad row planting of beans in a conventional garden. Nice to see the results of Maxi Grow nutrients, thank you.

Great video, as usual! I would like to know if you add (and when you add) other things in your systems, if possible. Like hydrogen peroxide, cal-mag, hydroguard, etc. Maybe in an other video? Thank you so much, I really learn with you!

Hello! For the beans, I don't add anything besides the nutrients. I will do a video about other extra stuff you mentioned

Love it and thanks! Can you share about your wall set up(plugs/wattage) Did you also consider buying a solar generator just in case power goes out since that is a new thing around the world now? I love this channel
@plant4table
@plant4table 2 жыл бұрын
I just use a extension cord to mount to the wall for this set up. I rarely lose power where I'm at, so solar generator has not crossed my mind.

Thank you. Would you be able to grow beans in the gardyn? I haven't decided which one to get yet. I have four tower gardens, but they aren't good for anything but greens and herbs.

Bush beans should do as well in Gardyn as in iHarvest. I am going to grow them in the new Gardyn 2.0.

Were you able to harvest more than once and how long did you keep these bean plants growing? Just got my iharvest today
@plant4table
@plant4table Жыл бұрын
You can harvest them for up to 3-4 months I believe, or even longer. They keep on producing. I did not keep them beyond 3 months just because I wanted to grow something else. They were still flowering when I pulled them out of my iHarvest.

Enjoyed the video? We're the nutrient levels ec or ppm? If ppm, is it 500 or 700 scale? Thanks!
@plant4table
@plant4table 2 жыл бұрын
I measure the nutrient in ppm. The meter is the cheap one I got from Amazon, $13. It says 0-9000ppm. The beans thrive when the nutrient is between 1,400-2,800ppm. I try to keep my beans around 2,000ppm once they are ready to produce flowers.

I used your code to get iharvest! It’s growing nicely. How do I train the tomatoes? My tomatoes are getting big but twisting all over and tilting the basket forward, half falling out the front. How can u keep them straight?
@plant4table
@plant4table 2 жыл бұрын
I find cherry tomatoes hard to keep straight because they have the tendency to crawl low. What I do is trimming the branches down and tie the branches to the trellis. Even for tomatoes growing outdoor, we need to use sticks/cages to support the tomatoes. Hope this helps.

Hi Lan! I just bought the iHarvest and found your channel. How long do you keep the water running in this system? I currently have water running 16 hrs a day via the timer. I just planted 4 days ago and plants are sprouting already but want to maximize growth and keep them strong. I have different lettuces and greens, a couple cucumbers, zucchini, squash, eggplant, tomato, and green peppers planted. Any suggestions on how long to run the water?
@plant4table
@plant4table 2 жыл бұрын
For the iHarvest, I have the pump run 5 minutes every 30 minutes. There is no need to keep the water running for hours. The point is to keep the roots wet throughout the day. 5 minutes for every 30 minutes is good enough imo. Too much water can suffocate the roots.

What number are you looking for when checking PPM? What is that meter called when ordering online?
@plant4table
@plant4table 2 жыл бұрын
It's called TDS meter. This is the link for both TDS and pH meter. amzn.to/3lqTbbd You can also buy them separately. For beans, I had ppm at 600 once the plant developed true leaves, then increased to 2,000-2,200 as they were ready to produce flowers. Depends on what you grow and you can adjust the nutrient level. Here is a chart for your reference www.homehydrosystems.com/ph_tds_ppm/ph_vegetables_page.html
