I am having similar results as you with my outdoor Annuum varieties Vs the Chinense varieties. I am in New Zealand and we have a similar climate to the UK. Greenhouse is best if you are growing superhot chillies.

Am in midlands.. I have no germination for the past 2 weeks.. growing indoor.. will it take so long?

Hi, the germination can take up to 3-4 weeks especially if you don't have a heat matt under the tray. With heating matt, they should germinate within two weeks assuming that the seeds are good. If you are not using a heat matt, move the tray to somewhere warm and this can be in dark. You can move the tray back out once they germinate. If you have spare seeds, I would start another tray just as back up. Hope this helps.
