Great video, its amazing how fast corn grows. Some of my fondest memories as a CITY BORN teen was going to my sisters house in Mississippi. My mom would say, "get out there a pick a bushel of purple hull peas". I was like??!? I hated those peas with a vengeance, it was never ending. My fingers, cuticles would be splitting, so sore. And then I tasted em', oh my Lord. Put em' on top of cornbread with some hot sauce, I was hooked for life. So corn time was easy, I would pick, shuck, silk. All the while my sister would be cutting the corn off the cob. Then she boiled it in huge tin pans, she'd bag em', freeze em'. Oh my, NOTHING in this world tastes as good as homegrown sweet corn. So as a teenager, hating all that heat & harvesting, turned out to be my fondest memories. Go figure! I thought corn/peas were grown at the grocery store, ha. Kinda thinking now I was used as cheap labor huh.

Ken, loved the video, we put up something similar with corn, okra, tomatoes, sometimes peas, sometime beans and pressure can it and call it soup mixture. All you have to do is brown your deer burger or hamburger onions, add a couple cans of Vegall, salt and pepper, a little garlic and anything else you want in your soup and it is great and quick and easy. Mix up a package of Martha white sweet yellow corn bread and have a meal. If you want the exact recipe, let me know and I will check to make sure I have not left anything out from memory. Best wishes and good eating, my friend.
