I witnessed this so much growing up. It made me so sad in HS when they said “If God wanted my eyebrows to be groomed he would have said so. I’m leaving the hair where he puts it. And my nails, if they were ok to be whatever color, I would have been born that way.” I was trying to tell them, the same way you brush your hair, you can tweeze your eyebrow hairs that are out of place. You can have pink nails and still be Gods child. With the logic you have explained to me, I could also say “Why brush your hair? If God wanted it to be tame he would have made it stay that way without intervention from your hair brush.” And many other examples. I hurt so badly for them.

My boys had/have a solid foundation and the capability to find themselves on their own with it. They're 19 (twins) and 28 now. When it comes to church attire, many feel “just come as you are… God knows.” Yes, He knows what’s the motive behind what we wear. Many of our women’s neckline is meeting our hemline. If you were invited to a beach or pool party, would wear a evening gown or a tuxedo. Regardless of how you dress, God is still God. He will judge every act; behavior.

@Libertas.Aeterna17765 ай бұрын
So she will get sent to hell because she wore blue jeans, earrings, and makeup?
@DaVizzle_Bro5 ай бұрын
@Libertas.Aeterna1776 nope. It'll be because she knowingly chose to disobey her parents and her pastor in being taught the standards of Holiness. The Bible (and actually more specifically God Himself) said that if you are a child of God that you are to "come out from the world and be ye separate" basically meaning that once you are saved, the Spirit of God will put convictions in your heart to not talk like the world, to not act like the world, and YES, to not dress like the world. If you see a firefighter, or a police officer, or a soldier, or a fry cook, or a heart surgeon, etc. Etc, you know exactly who you're looking at because of the way that they're dressed. How strange is it then when people become confused of why they think that being saved just means you can continue talking, acting, and dressing the same way you were before you became "a new creature in Christ" as the New Testament puts it. Not saying that you have to change everything about yourself the day that you become saved (nor do I think that God would expect that from you) But It shouldn't take too long If you truly were saved to figure those type of things out Because your pastor and church elders around you would have discipled you And taught you Right from wrong and about what pleases and displeases God. God is a merciful lamb but he is also A lion And a lot of people forget that. God is all loving, but you cannot be all loving without being just. God is never going to force anybody into heaven if they don't want to go, in other words, God is not going to force anybody to have a relationship with Him if they choose they don't want to actually have one. Salvation Is not about shaking a preacher's hand Or repeating A couple of Bible verses and then only going to church on Easter and Christmas But it's about having a daily walk with God, and if you have a daily walk with God then you're probably not going to be making youtube videos flaunting what you know would be displeasing to Him. Thats Rebellion and rebellion stems from pride which is definitely not something a true follower of Christ would have in their heart.

1 question. Why is it that when a man wants to be accepted as a woman, he starts cross dressing, wearing stuff like pink women house coats, dresses, etc? Question 2, We don't say women , or men dresses, then why do we say women pants and men pants?You CAN'T get a REAL man to put on a DRESS ,NOT even playing for the most. I remember I was young and had my baby boy. My sister had a daughter she was playing and put a dress on my baby boy . She would always be doing crazy stuff to make my husband laugh. He didn't laugh about that he got really upset . She never played like that again 😂 Wearing PANTS wasn't a PENTECOSTAL THING! We were BAPTIST and didn't wear pants it was a BIBLICAL thing not to wear what pertains to a man! Girls at CATHOLIC , and other denominations school, some non biblical colleges uniforms for girls and females are dresses and skirts. NO women wore pants for the most before women lib and the men went to war and they went to work and had to sget jobs and took on the headship role in the house. They also wore head covering , scarves, or hat,in church and when they were out, men wore hats and took them off in church or in people houses. I remember when men would say I wear the PANTS in this house! But women working making they own money and wearing the PANTS in the house and putting them on their daughters. I didn't and I worked helped my HUSBAND and he is the MAN and he wear the PANTS in OUR house. I'm a woman, but for the most women are running things since women lib. That's one of the reasons things are so out of order. But it started with Eve.They are not going back to what please GOD, ! I'm a daughter of a holy GOD ,high priest JESUS CHRIST, prophets ABRAHAM, MOSES, ELIJAH,all the other prophets, apostles, saints, and the holy angels. Now is my inside ,language that comes out of my mouth, and outward appearance a representation of I am affiliated and apart of these and who I am and to whom I belong?

Well that made no sense at all. Organized religion is evil and results in wars...starting with the Christians in search of the holy war continuing today with radicalized 'Christians' and those idiots dying for Allah and the promise of paradise and 40 virgins when they get there. Not sure what they promise the women and children they strap bombs too....most likely something as ludicrous as 40 virgins. Be very afraid of organized religion where one or 2 phrases from the book of myths are used to structure an ENTIRE belief system. And what about those Mormons with multiple wives!!?? What Bible ok'd that farce? Get your head out of your anal orifice and come up with an original thought. Bet you can't. Also what do you do to show honor and respect for the earth we live on, supposedly given to us by 'God's? Because if you aren't actively trying to better this would by first trying to save it what is the point?

It’s tendency for the young to be rebellious. All doctrine and no love and conversation about the dangers of sin, etc. Kids, eventually, find their way back to God as adults - after much heartache, but, unfortunately, some don’t, because they saw and experienced things that broke them. So, let’s not judge too harshly, because a title is just that. The heart is deceitful above ALL things and desperately sick - Jeremiah 17:9. In every denomination, evil slips in wearing the mask of RELIGION. Let’s keep our eyes on Christ our Savior.

And you pay for that behavior. Those "restrictions" are protectors, not prison bars. It hardly matters if you were raised in a good church or not, people still don't listen and gotta learn the hard way.

Although some of the strict external standards were over the top, let’s not forget the good things that also occurred in many of those Pentecostal churches. People were healed , souls were saved. Some were delivered from addictions. And the power of God was present during the worship. In the personal lives people testified of the mighty works of God in their daily lives. Prayers were answered routinely. Yes, people often went overboard on the outward appearance rules. But they lived as they understood. Today most have learned better. Thank God. But make sure not to toss the good out with the bad.

When you disregard "standards" you end up with a society like the one we have today. "Standards" exist for a reason, they have developed over many lifetime of learning, these "standards" exist within every cultural group from the tribes of people who have little to no modern cultural influence to the suburbian American family. But feel free to dress how you want and disregard the culture.

“Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.” Matthew 23:23-25 Women should dress modestly and honor God, but forcing someone to wear certain pieces of clothing is nothing but putting rules above the spirit of rules themselves. Who honors God more? The woman who wears a skirt and doesn’t wear make up but lies, cheats on her husband, and gossips on others or the woman who wears jeans, blush, and heels but is a fervent believer who devotes her life to Jesus and the Gospel? Who prays and who works in service to others?
