On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.

As much as i love the hornet the gripen next to the F15X and EX are my favourites. The whole concept of the gripen what it is designed for and can do makes it a fantastic fighter jet. Would actually love to see the gripen against the F15EX. Also i think the apache against some of the WW2 fighters would be an interesting video.

Dazzle camouflage: it's designed to break up your silouette and wake, thus making it harder for a submarine to determine range, speed and heading for a torpedo firing solution. Oddly relevant for the Russians these days.

It has almost the same gun as the eurofighter but probably has a better radar gun aiming system. Probably one of the reasons it can even win an f22. That along with it's incredible turn radius

Every day in the barracks and the mess hall and the briefing hall and during P.T. and in the toilet, etc, you'd have this enormous, indelible smile. And you wouldn't be able to help but share the story, time and again... And, of course, we wouldn't believe you, until we saw the gun-cam footage! But as soon as we DO see it, we ALSO end up with that same, enormous grin on our faces...

It is a fighter than is powered by a single engine originally used in a two-engined 'lightweight' fighter(F-18 and MiG-29). Other jets in the category are the Gripen and the Tejas.

@@firebpm4977 jf-17 is very similar concept. In a lot of ways the airframe design is a descendent of the mig-21 too, kind of like how the yf-17 is an evolution of the shape of an f-5. If you squint you can see it.

Incredible accuracy of Gripen's targeting system. BTW, my favorite graphics for targeting is the serpeting line with crossing dash for aiming, this kind of graphics for targeting predicts very accuratelly both paths of your tracers and of the hostile.

The Gripen is definitely the coolest of the European Doritos. I know some people like the look of the Typhoon, but I personally think it's a hideous aircraft. The Gripen actually manages to look aesthetically pleasing. Even with the big canards and delta wing.

why would you slant the gun downwards on the JF-17 - that just seems silly considering when you'll use the gun... Unless it was thought of as a ground strafer

Delta Wings even with canards have a lot of drag in a long dogfight. Wing design still means a lot. Just a aside here. The P-51 is still raved about because of its laminar flow wing for it's supposed turning performance. Actually it was a laminar flow wing only in the wording. The wing was optimized for low drag, that's true but In a extended turn fight not whatsoever. Frankly the P51 pilots benefited extensively from poorly trained pilots flying overloaded gunships the Germans were forced to make the Me109 into. Adolf Gallad said a fighter defaced in this way was as good as useless in a dogfight. So much so that the Luftwaffe made separate lightly armed and much more heavily armed 109 squadrons. The P51 did have superior speed to the heavy G model but the later much more powerful and streamlined K version changed that. It came out far too late thou. There is a video on you tube of a P51 fanboy asking a man who flies both. It's actually pretty funny when the pilot informs this fan that the P51 doesn't turn well at all compared to a Me109. The pilot corrects this common misconception and the guy is obviously shocked !
