The hud in the euro fighter is that weird circular panel... yeah... it's odd. But that's how they did it. It's a pretty authentic in cockpit view for the type. Not sure about the whining ambient noise.

The thing is, that HUD is complimentary, more for navigation than anything else like the ones you could find in an Airbus or Boeing passenger planes, the main HUD would be in the helmet but they did not model it

My theory for the missile not killing the Felon is that since the missile took a sharp turn and hit from behind, the shrapnel couldn't hit the Felon hard enough to severely damage it.

I couldn't tell if it was in full afterburn either, which may have an effect also. Heat and turbulence might give a false reading to the approximation detonation fuse. I dunno.

@@viswajitbala7924 Heat and thrust. Regardless of radar, the missile still passes thru the air, and thrust on an SU57 is 39,683 pounds of thrust in afterburn. And the mlssile was slower so... Air resistance +... not just atmosphere. Imagine, going 400mph and putting a cupped hand out the window. Resistance/thrust. Slowing that missile just enough to the outer edge of the approximation fuse range. Just short of full contact to the Felon. Shards of something go hit...exhaust nozzle fins? It's a guess....

OK, so the meteor was probably very low on energy due to the turn it had made, while the Felon was fast, so the time it took for the fuse to detonate the explosive warhead was enough for the Felon to move away from the blast cone, given that the shrapnel didn't have much forward momentum from the missile itself and only had what the explosion gave it.
