Jemima Englund still counts. Deaf people can do most things we can. There’s ways around the hearing issue, like the headphones on the neck, even able-hearing DJs sometimes wear headphones around their necks, it allows them to focus on the beat as they try other things out. It ain’t out of the realm of possibility for a born-deaf person to learn to DJ. Or anything music related really. The human spirit is strong.
@jemimaenglund75284 жыл бұрын

Hey Dylan! Since you asked for comments on what we like, I really like it when you talk about the shots and stuff about the cinematography, script etc. I wasn't surprised to find out that you studied that stuff, because you really give some solid insights.

The look on Dylan's face when not only does she throw her tray up in the air, but creates some weird ripple effect in which the OTHER girl throws her tray upwards and then rolls away in a trash can is my mood for 2019 so far.

Yes....deaf people hear by feeling vibrations. That is how they listen. That's how blind people see as well. It's not a jarring concept. The line the boy made with "I can't hear but I heard you" was probably the best line in this dumb ass movie lol.
@runthathoeover5 жыл бұрын
My dad is deaf so he reads lips to understand people
@hannafriesen51135 жыл бұрын
deaf people can still enjoy music from feeling the vibrations and even then, they still cant "listen" without their hearing....but the same does not go for voices because speech vibrations cannot emit the same as a loud speaker, unless maybe the deaf persons hands were on the others throat, they lip read and use sign language. most blind people are not fully "blind" so they can usually still see light and shadows but sound vibrations can only make them aware of the size of the space they're in but in no way can help them see whats in front of them, thats why they have guide dogs or walking sticks.
@RahqGar105 жыл бұрын
starting off with "deaf people hear" was only your first mistake, lol...i dont need to read the rest to know youre probly wrong
@morley3645 жыл бұрын
I think the issue is that picking up on vibrations will not necessarily convey the idea of sequential, variable frequencies and tones and how well they go together (which is a big part of music).They can often pick up on pitch, but not precisely (as in, they might know it's high or low, but not pick up on the exact note within that range). So he would be able to feel the vibrations of the music, but he might not know if she's singing on key. So he shouldn't be so impressed and say she's good. Hopefully that helps!
