You might be able to go longer without cleaning your fans if you draw outside air (maybe cleaner) and blow it past the grow room exhaust; pretty much the way the way central vacuums work. If you don’t want to do that you could use water to filter the air before it goes through the exhaust fans; kinda like a rainbow vacuum.

I love the pvc shelves. I first saw it in videos from that grower in new zealand, it was cool to learn that you championed them! They sound like a fantastic option. Although it's a great design, it's still a little too expensive for me right now, especially since I'm still not 100% certain how I want to utilize my available space or how much I'll end up growing. I have a 4 shelf martha and I'm fast needing more space, so I'm going to set up a walk-in martha with 12 shelves. It's maybe half the cost of a solid pvc grow room, but worse quality, harder to clean, requires a tarp-floor, and won't sustain a business on its own. I wouldn't waste my time with it if money wasn't so tight, but it seems like the best way to step up my grow capacity pre-launch. If all goes well and I start selling my excess, I'll better understand what I need, have a little extra cash coming in to afford investing in the pvc! And the two cheap tents can be used for mushrooms needing different conditions than the rest or something. It's hard to imagine needing more space than that! but if that happens, i clearly would have gotten my money's worth out of those marthas! The rolling shelves seem amazing. I'm getting at least one to transport bags from incubation to the tents. But since my mushroom space is split between floor level and a basement, they won't be quite as amazing for me. The pvc will be my best option unless/until we move. I LOVE how easy they are to clean and I'm weirdly stoked about it. so much so that even if I don't start a business, I might still build one LOL i'd have wasted my money on the tents, but eh, worth the risk :)

Hi Andrew , appreciate your work. Quick question, what do you do with mushroom blocks for second flash? Are you repositioning them and cutting new spot, or after harvesting you are letting them grow from the same spot? Thanks a lot.
@ASMRGRATITUDE2 жыл бұрын
I noticed he never answered so I wanted to give you my opinion on how to do it. I grow lion's mane and oyster mushrooms and poppini. I've seen with the fruiting blocks that I use, the same spot is not going to grow a mushroom. So I will cut an X in a different part of the plastic and I sometimes can get five or six flushes from one fruiting block.
@Artem-rh4yz2 жыл бұрын
@@ASMRGRATITUDE Thanks for the advice. In that case do you cover previous cuts with a tape? 5/6 flushes are means fruiting block cut from all sides. I started with oysters, didn’t succeed with lions mane. Probably have to buy a good culture. Thanks again!
@ASMRGRATITUDE2 жыл бұрын
@@Artem-rh4yz I have never tried using tape. It might work/ help. I just leave the old spot open and move on to opposite side. Another trick is to take the fruiting block and put it inside a 5-gallon container. Make sure to pre-cut several holes for the mushrooms going all the way around the 5-gallon bucket. Next fill in the remainder of the space with coffee grounds or straw or even mashed-up cardboard. Then you will have to let it wait a while to colonize the coffee grounds. Make sure your humidity is correct and growing conditions are good and you will get a ton of oysters popping out of the 5-gallon container.
