What a good comparison. I can learn from this, I can improve, thank you. You should know that the Biocomposite Turkish bow is made in two sizes. Here is the short version. The longer Biocomposite Turkish is faster. But I still like to shoot with the smaller Turks. I'm planning a medium-sized Turkish bow now, I'd like to ask you for criticism ...in private ...how could the bow be even better!

I've had 4 Grozer bows in the past: the first was an absolute basic design Grozer calls Scythian - it was cheap and good value for the price. Next was a 'bio-composite' it exploded on stringing, Grozer apologised and said that they were using a defective glue. The next was another cheap 'Scythian' - again, no problems. The final was a full on horn and sinew composite - it was sold by Grozer as being 90 lb in draw weight - it was nearer 70 lbs, the horn belly had holes in it (poor quality horn) and when I complained about the poor quality (having waited over a year for the bow), he (via his assistant) simply said 'well that is the way horn is'. This is perhaps why Grozer won't sell using PayPal. Buyer beware!

WHOW, what a comparison of two real top Turkish Bows, maybe the best on the market! Monolith Technology VS Biocomposite Technology. So far I have shot Grozer Turkish Short (the one in Your video), Nawalny Turkish Medium (the one in Your video), Grozer Long Turkish, Nawalny Turkish Short and the Short Turkish Extra III Hornbow by Grozer. Unfortunately I had to sell so many bows because of money and only the Grozer Extra III Hornbow and Nawalny Short Turkish are left. But now back to the two bows in Your video, my archery friend: talking about my experience, both bows look very historical, Grozer Biocomposite maybe a little more because of the spine, that runs from the bash to the kazan. Grozer draws smoother, but is a little slower. No handshock on Grozer Short Turkish! Grozer Short Turkish works better around 40 lbs and up than in low draw weights 30-35 lbs. I saw Your great groupings with the Grozer, some a little to the right. I had the same problem and cured it with weaker arrows, shafts that are not so stiff on the Grozer bow. Nawalny Medium Turkish has a little handshock, depending on arrow weight. I would use a minimum of 9 gpp for the Nawalny Medium Turkish (there is NO handshock on the Nawalny Short Turkish down to 7 gpp!). Nawalny Bows are faster and great in low draw weights (30-35 lbs) too. Grozer Long Turkish was better in 33 lbs, than the short version. What would I buy again, if I had the money? Grozer as well as Nawalny! So You and me have the same result in the comparison....

Hello and good day! I am new to your channel, and am currently going through all of your videos. I really appreciate how you break down every aspect of each bow! I currently shoot with a compound bow and want to start working with one of these more traditional bows... So far I am gravitating towards the Laminated Turkish bow you reviewed by Grozer... Well, I’d start with laminated by Vegh or Bogar. Overall very good performance and for a good price. Grozer is much more adult bow and previous experience with traditional bows is important ✌️🍀

These two bows are very nicely made and a pleasure to shoot. But in my personal opinion, I´d pick a Simons Bowcompany Raptor or a Paragon Raider. Even though both mentioned are laminated bows. Kindest Regards

Mate! I finally placed an order and my 25# draw weight bow is on the way. I never had a light bow like this. But what it is? A Drake fiberglass ''Tatar'' bow. I never heard about the Drake as a brand. Very little information is found about Drake Archery. Near nothing in English and almost all information is German language. Their store is located in Germany as well. Did you ever hear about them?

It would take a little work on your part, but you could quantify efficiency and hand shock by first working out how much potential energy the bow stores a full draw. To do this, you would have to find the bow's draw weight at regular intervals. Once you know how much energy the bow stores, you can then shoot an arrow of a precisely known mass, measure its velocity and calculate its kinetic energy. The difference between the amount of energy the bow stores at full draw and the arrow's kinetic energy represents energy that is, for the most part, left over in the bow after the arrow leaves. The more energy that is left over in the bow, the less efficient it is and the more hand shock you're likely to feel. If you're going to compare different bows, a fair way to do that would be to use arrows that are the same weight relative to each bow's draw force.

Very nice comparison! Something I always wanted to see. I thank you for that. Now I have another question... have you ever tried or thought about trying the Paragon Raider? 34 Inch max draw. Some people say it is better and for sure much more efficient then Grozer's and Nawalny's bows.

I really like the idea of running archery. It has a potential to compensate a non-athletic nature of archery as a sport discipline... I think, in order to develop it as a sport and get in more people to compete with you need to establish some standardized rules. Maybe something like those in horse archery, were you have some standard route and get judged based both on accuracy and lap time.

@@CharliesRunningArchery Thanks In such a case where both bows are nearly equal price might be the deciding factor for many. What I have never seen in bow reviews, is a longtime review. Where someon take a looka t a bow after 1 or 2 years of real use. I know that limbs nowadys hold up for mayn years and that strings have to be replaced. But espcially on bio bows how does the whipping hold up or age and also how well does the painting hold up use.

Same arrow weight but different dynamic spine, since both bows deliver at different speeds. Perhaps take your time to see which arrow works best for each bow and then shoot 20 in a row for each bow. But it'd still be subjective

Well, interesting idea. Since both bows are 38lbs I just used same 500 spine arrows so it's as relevant as possible. Maybe it is not. At the other hand, everyhing about bows is subjective. You will love something I would hate and so on... this is just my view and you can take what you feel is right for you :)
