I have the Alibow Turkish and like it. Recently I bought the Menyuan Crab Bow from Nika Archery. (The new one that just came out--not the toy one of some years ago). It was about $156 delivered here in the US. It is a solid glass--takedown (reduces shipping). This bow is utterly gorgeous, matt black with gorgeous curves.! Shoots much better than I do! Armin Hirmir reviewed it. I hope you will also review it, Charlie!

Awesome video, dear friend! 👊😁 I haven’t shot a Metbow so far, so I don’t know the difference compared to a Simsek for example… My personal top 5 are: 1) Dacian 2) Hornbows 62 or 64 3) Saracen and Turkish bows 4) Khan, Raider and Griffin 5) Nökhör, Xiaoshao and Zhu Ran and the Korean bows and the Seljuk is lovely to shoot but not easy to string and… in the end I love them all! 🤪😁

A toptier list is always hard, depends on what you want. for you it is easy you need, want a bow for running archery. I am more trying out all the different designs to see what I like most. Currently I would rank my bows like that. 1) Crimean Tartar L2 by Grozer (this is a laminated bow with a carbon belly) easy to shoot and very powerful due to the carbon backing. 2) Crimean Tartar by Alibow not as powerful as the first, and due to the Fiberglass a much smoother draw. The It would be a tie with my other bows as I do not shoot them as much as my Tartars. 3)Turkish by Alibow cute little bow, but feels quite nervous and if you do like long draw this is not for you only 29 inch draw. 3)Kaya TKB a korean bow with the traditional handle, and very nice decorations. You need a bit of a different shootingstye, due to the handle. But like the Grozer bow, quite powerfull for its poundage. 3) Yarha II by Alibow. A long manchu style bow. If you just need to hurl some really huge arrows downfield this is the bow. A good bow for releasing stress, makes a very satisfying sound when the arrows hit the target.

I never got the chance to try many bows since most archers in my area shoot Olympic or compound, so my list is going to be limited to my personal collection. 5. Alibow Qinghai fiberglass 4. Daylite Phoenix 3. Freddie Nomad KTB 2. AF Zhu Ran gen.2 1. Freddie Warrior My first bow was a Nomadwarrior Fiberglass Nomad from Canyon Coppola. Good starter bow, but later on I found out that I wasn't a fan of short bows, like anything below 50". Now saving for a Mariner bow.

I bought the Alibow Turkish last year, and understood something about myself. I don't enjoy the short draw that much. So, 1. Korean style (White Feather Forever Carbon 53" with 33" max draw) - light, longer draw, snappy, good looking, comfortable grip. Definitely my kind of bow. I haven't tried a Manchu style bow yet, so that might be in my future. Perhaps an even longer draw is even more fun? I know I won't go into Yumi/Longbow, because transportation is a thing :) 2. Simsek Ay (Crescent) - a low draw weight bow that takes the punishment of me drawing it to 32" and continues to work well, but I have since leveled up the draw weight. Looks like it is indestructible. 3. Alibow Turkish, a good bow, just not for me.
@thomaskurz5617

Yes the turkish from Alibow has quite a sort draw with 29 inch. I like it but it feels quite unstable due to the small size and the short draw. Try a crimean tartar, similar design but longer limbs and longer draw. For me they are the sweetspot in regards of length and beeing easy to handle. Could also be that my first asiatic bow was a Tartar.

@@thomaskurz5617yeah, the Simsek "beginner" bow is the Crimean Tatar design (but stated 29" max draw, which I totally overdraw 😛). Good design, no complaints there.

For the last 1,5 years I've been shooting thousands and thousands of arrows with alibows 70 dollar Turkish fiberglas bow. The draw curve is not perfect. It stacks pretty much from ≈27,5 inches in my opinion and my draw is ≈ 29 inches. So I'm definately going to add up my bow game, maybe going for the bogar assyrian as Charlie did;-) .. but still, alibows Turkish. great great, I've been shooting arrows for almost 20 years and with a cheap Turkish bow my accuracy peaks (well maybe becauseso fun and just can't stop* its been a blast coming from my still beloved longbows to eastern technique and bow,).. I've been a little worried because Alibows recommendation is 28" and max 29" draw.. and here and then I'm drawing back a little more I'm sure.. even been training/experimenting with 30" draw for some weeks or so, the bow is still as new...BUT definately not the right bow for this, and can break I guess if its a very strong bow, mine is 35 punds at 28". Greetings
