This laserdisc is an absolute music gem. It deserves a remaster audio and blu-ray. RIP Chick Corea for all your music and talent.

I had the two-disc set of this in the late 80s/early 90s when it was one of those "default" Columbia House or some such offerings you got automatically if you didn't specifically reject it. I decided not to "return to sender" and give it a listen; then I listened again, and again, and again, SO MANY times since. It's one of the recordings that helped frame my love of music, and bring joy to my life as I grew into and through my 20s. So happy to find this here! Thanks for posting.

+Alexander Davis The video was captured at 720x480 in to a MPEG2 hardware encoder at the maximum DVD rate allowed; audio was captured straight to raw PCM. Video is mostly the same raw video stream; save for some edits around keyframes which were recoded to allow edits. Audio was still raw PCM when uploaded.

This disc is just highlights, I still have the two disc original uncut version of this entire show. 1- Deedles Blues 2- Loves Dance 3- Caught A Touch Of Your Love 4- Early AM Attitude 5- The Sauce 6- Water Under The Moon 7- Earth Run 8- Target 9- Goodbye For Kathy 10- An Actors Life Then after that came Chick Corea's band. Too bad they don't have this uncut/unedited. This was a very good show.

Several songs miss, but I found a tune not present in my double CD, proudly purchased on July 26th 1988 and listened on my hi-fi system: CD Player Sony CDP M35, integrated amplifier Harman Kardon PM 645, with ESB sub and Infinity RS3000 speakers. I still remember that night!!!

Re "original audio": My friend, did I steal from you something that "belongs to you"? Or you don’t have enough strength to just be glad that a video with a good message spreads and reaches people’s hearts and brings them joy? Moreover, the audio track was improved in the video, which was based on the original Audio CD, this is a separate work through which love is shown to the author himself or the original source, if I may say so. You do not be offended, but it is absurd that you reacted so painfully. See, here's an example: in martial arts there is no such thing that someone stole some technique or blow, this is knowledge that is passed on for good. Consequently, they spar not to find out who is better, or who has learned (not stolen) some technique before, but to find their weaknesses and find their way to perfection. You told me something about karma. Please don't judge or jump to conclusions because you don't know the whole story. But a certain form of selfishness that you showed with your reaction and the fact that you wished me is also, to some extent, the result of (your) karma, which you yourself created. Remember that the outside reflects the inside. Therefore, first of all, ask yourself, with what kind of thoughts or actions did you attract such a situation into your life. In the end, know that I am grateful to everyone and everybody who contributed to this concert and you are no exception 🙂. I still hope that you will treat everything with understanding.

Stop. The fact is i spent time, money, and effort to bring this to youtube before it was lost. you ripped off my hard work, slapped a coat of paint on it, and want me to believe it's done with love? No. It's disrespectful.
@VadimShinnik2 жыл бұрын
@@dewdude Yes, my friend, WITH LOVE. First off, I'm a big fan of Dave Grusin and everything about him. The fact is that I am a musician and there is a video on my channel where I perform his works. If this also puts you in doubt that this is not love, then you know better. Secondly, I do not receive any money from this channel, it was just once my hobby, I did audio remasterings for my favorite concerts, and uploaded them to KZbin just to share. Many of the concert videos are not taken from KZbin, they are from a personal archive. Let's make it clear. I will decipher your first comment, which was self-assertive. Here, look people - I made the first one and posted this concert, I am the author and ''owner'' and he "stole" from me. You got the idea and what I mean. I didn't delete it for no reason. Then followed the second comment, which you yourself frankly know what you wrote, there is no point in discussing this comment. Your reaction is like hmm, how to say... Complaint that someone did not treat you fairly. But again, you do not look inside yourself, look for the cause in others. You said: It's disrespectful. Unfortunately, you weren't paying attention. It's like you're looking at the moon through the water and saying that this is what the real moon looks like. Listen, my friend, don't be so flawed and selfish. Just be happy and enjoy life. if you feel better in your heart and soul - I WILL DELETE THE VIDEO under which you left 2 comments, you yourself already know with what meaning and message. It's not difficult for me)))

@@VadimShinnik Frist of all, I'm not your friend. I don't know you. Clearly there are some cultural differences if you think I'm your friend. What you did...in my culture, is rude and disrespectful. You say you do it with love...but at the same time it was my hard work and effort that was taken. Trying to flip it and make me out to be the bad person here is worse. I don't care if it happens "all the time" on KZbin. I don't make any money off it either...in fact I can't. That was one of the limitations in uploading this. You did not go out....locate a laserdisc player...purchase that laserdisc player...locate the disc...purchase it...purchase the video encoding hardware....sit there making sure the transfer went through...transferring it again when the first failed. You don't have to do anything; ultimately I can't. I'm just hurt that I spend the time to upload an archival quality concert; which already came off a Laserdisc; and see someone else having taken the video, which can be considered the most critical thing out of all of this; and slap new audio under it and calling it a remaster.
@VadimShinnik2 жыл бұрын
@@dewdude I told you, don't judge if you don't know the whole story. Yes, I don't know you personally, but I don't divide or separate people into enemies and friends. For me - all people are friends! It’s just that some bring happiness and joy into my life, others teach me something and help me grow, and both are necessary. And it's not for you to decide who is my friend and who is not. The point here is not at all what culture you belong to, but in the way of thinking. The best nationality is to be human (person). The best culture is a person who is able to love, to give freely, unconditionally, because love makes everything possible, it is a creative force. It is not so important how I put the audio track on the video, the main thing is that people can listen and appreciate it. No one has complained for so many years, only you. And instead of being happy, you are not happy with something and are hurt. Because selfishness holds you tightly by the throat, and pride does not allow you to admit that you make aberration. It's good that you posted the video and made a contribution - with mold (Need to emphasize). I wish you to enjoy only your video with your original audio track. If I'm not your friend, then be careful, what you will attract unFRIENDly people with your thinking and attitude, one of the laws of karma, among other things. Since you talked about Karma) It's not my idea, it's how it works. You can take it for advice, but if you don't want, it's up to you.

@@VadimShinnik Your "love" of whatever still doesn't make it proper to piggyback off someone else's effort. Trying to make me look like the bad guy here won't work. Just stop. Clearly you won't understand...so just go back to your corner and stay off my channel. At some point you will steal the work of someone who can do something about it. They likely will. I'm sure whoever has to review the situation will look at your previous comments and will see your blatant disregard.
