I love my Juno DS61. Would've loved to have the DS88 but makes it a bit harder to travel with. I really think this keyboard is highly overlooked. One of the best sounding boards I've ever owned.. especially for the price.

I agree I've seen very negative comments about this synth. Very underrated. The value for the buck can not be beaten.
@socasack7 жыл бұрын
I agree. I was going to get the Kawai MP7. But before I bought it, I saw the Casio Previa 560. Both of these are great boards. Then I went into Sam Ash and the sales guy there said I should look at the Juno. He then left me alone with it and there was no turning back. It was less money than those other two and sounds just as good. It has more factory sounds (a lot more) and is just better for me on stage than the others. I got the DS88 - yes it is big, but fits in my car so I am happy.
@inkajoo7 жыл бұрын
I got the DS61 as well, 35 lbs is too much to lug around when you want to be able to jump in the car to jam at a friend's place. I'm on the fence about the sounds, some are nice, while some are just awful and cheesy and not even in a good 80's kind of way. I groaned at VocalsMenu. I wonder how useful the phrase pads will end up being. I think when I have more money my ideal jamming board would have 76 or 88 semi-weighted keys (so it's luggable) and not so many features for music production, just really really realistic EP's, bass, drums, and nicer analog emulation. The Juno's analog synth chops are weak.

Grubenpony12 I’ve been watching tons of DS videos, to my ears the machine sounds alive and has a smooth, yet dark thick sound. I think it sounds better than a lot of the new analogs, just for my taste. How is custom sound designing with DS, is it a capable machine to create your own unique stacked sounds? The keybed on the 88 has a wonderful feeling from the one I briefly tried out.
@cubdukat8 жыл бұрын
How's the feel on the one you got? I'm assuming it's a DS-61, right? I'm looking at getting one of the Juno-DS's for my birthday later this year, but I'm torn between the DS-61 and the 88. I played an 88 at Guitar Center, and I love the keyboard feel, but the 61's 300 bucks less and more in my league. If I have to spend the extra 300, I will, but if the 61's action is just as good, I'll go with that.
@Grubenpony128 жыл бұрын
I think it's better to by the 88Key-Version, than you habe a real Piano-Feeling. The 61er was classical Plastic-Feeling - Most I play the DS via Midi through the RD-800, wich has an amazing Keyboard-Action
@cubdukat8 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I think I'll get the DS88. It'll cost a little more, but I think it'll be worth it i the long run. It'll make an excellent MIDI controller as well.

@Grubenpony128 жыл бұрын
Gottseidank😀

Thank you, this great video makes me even more enthusiastic about my DS-61. It sounds a bit cleaner and brighter than mine, and I wonder if either a) you were using the System Equalizer in the DS to brighten it a bit, or scoop out the midrange? or b) if the Zoom did something to the sound, or KZbin compression does something to it? (I understand you weren't using the Zoom microphone - but the DS's headphone out?) Thanks again! danke.sehr gut! ;)

I thought it could be worth the money to go with the FA-06 with the SuperNatural piano instead of the Juno, but no, I think I will wait a few years and buy your favorite the RD800. Been spoiled by having the opportunity to play the finest acoustic concert grand pianos in the world, but that opportunity is gone, and now play a Yamaha P95. Hoping for a digital some day with all the character (90%) of my favorite, the Steinway 9 foot concert grand....I miss that piano, the only piano I never had to "get used to"...that beautiful instrument allowed me to express my heart with total freedom.
