Sophia Loren, one of the last Hollywood living legends. What a beautiful woman. The first actor to win best actress Oscar for a non-english speaking role in 1960. Also, Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau were best friends in real life. They did 10 movies together and are buried just 50 feet from each other.

James "CATFISH" Hunter was a Major League Baseball pitcher of great renown; the only pitcher to score 200 wins before the age of 31 since 1915, he was regarded as the world's first big-money Free Agent, having played on FIVE World Series Champion teams by the age of 33, when he retired. Everybody will tell you about films with Lemmon/Matthau teamed together (THE ODD COUPLE), but one of my favorite Jack Lemmon films is a War Comedy, THE WACKIEST SHIP IN THE ARMY (1960) - and a Spy/Comedy with Walter you should see is HOPSCOTCH (1980).

Every day, 3 times a day, all of the old coffee drinkers would come in and BS with each other for an hour or 2. You learned a lot by listening to these old men. Jack Lemmon has played in several movies with a wide range of roles from comedic like this film to dramatic roles in serious movies. Here are a few of them: - The Odd Couple with Walter Matthau, mentioned several times in the comments. - The Apartment with Shirley MacLaine and Fred MacMurray - Save the Tiger (1973) with Jack Gilford who won best supporting actor Oscar while Lemmon won the Oscar for Best Actor - How to Murder Your Wife (1965), - The Out-of-Towners (1970), with Sandy Dennis - Glengarry Glen Ross (1992), with Al Pacino, Alec Baldwin, Ed Harris, Alan Arkin - Days of Wine and Roses (1962) with Lee Remick in a very dramatic role where they play a couple dealing with alcolism ; they were both nominated for Oscars for their roles. - Mister Roberts (1955) with Henry Fonda, James Cagney and William Powell - It Should Happen to You (1954), with Judy Holiday and Peter Lawford - 12 Angry Men (1997) a remake of the earlier version which had Henry Fonda playing the lead role which Lemmon plays in this version. - The Fortune Cookie (1966) another film which paired Lemmon with Walter Matthau. Matthau won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor. - Irma La Douce (1963) - The Great Race (1965) with Tony Curtis, Natalie Wood and Peter Falk (Colombo movies) in a wacky film about an early 20th century car race across Europe. - The China Syndrome (1979) with Jane Fonda and Michael Douglas - Missing (1982), a dramatic political drama where he played along side with Sissy Spacek, they were both nominated for Academy Awards for their roles. - JFK (1991) with Kevin Costner among many others in this Oliver Stone film. - The Legend of Bagger Vance (2000) which was his last movie where he had a narrator’s role. It is a sports drama (golf) directed by Robert Redford and had Matt Damon, Charlize Theron and Will Smith in the cast.
