I just love the Grumpy Old Men movies. The 2 Grumpy Old Men movies have a certain, lovely, warm charm to them. For example, I love how the scenery of the state of Minnesota is practically a co-star. In Grumpy Old Men we get to see how nice small town Minnesota looks with all that snow and ice. And in Grumpier Old Men we get to see what it looks like underneath all that snow and ice. Just beautiful. The small hometown feel also really adds to the charm. Makes one want to move there to live and hopefully have Max, John, Pop, Ariel, Maria (and all the others) as neighbors.

This was the first movie I ever saw Sophia Loren in. In 1995, my Dad, brother and I went to see this at the movies. I was 7 years old. Once this scene came on and Loren arrived, I thought she was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen. I remember thinking my Dad was just messing with me when he told me she was 60 years old. At the time, my grandmother was the same age, and as a 7 year old, I thought I knew what a woman looked like when she got older. Mainly cause my Grandmother was a mess. Haha. She obviously looked nothing like that.

Do you think they explained to Sophia Loren the concept Chuck E Cheese ? I'm a millennial who was 8 when this movie came out. They were very popular for birthday parties. However Ms. Loren lived in Italy most of the year. She also had a vacation home in Switzerland. I imagine the only time she comes to Hollywood is for the Golden Globes and the Academy Awards.

I think if you live near the coat in Italy you can just get bait from fish markets for free or collect it yourself from the beach, the concept of having to buy it is very American.
