They are not grumpy looking at all, they are adorable! Their ears are lower than domestic cats and that is why they may look funny to some people, but the Pallas cat is perfect as God made them. Imagine if they had tall pointy ears like a serval and they were peeking up from those rocks, they would be easily preyed upon.

I love the these cats! I'm still not sure which name for them to use (Pallas's cat or manul) but I learn towards manul because it was called that first whereas "Pallas's cat" was a name given much more recently, after the first European to write about them.
