silicone isn't actually that bad! it's often used in haircare products to protect your hair from damaging (scratches and stuff like that, in example if you have your hair down wearing backpack can cause damage and silicone minimalises that), locks in moisture, weights hair down so it doesn't get frizzy and gives some shine. ofc it can cause buildup which is why you should use clarifying shampoo once in a while.

omg thanks for telling me! I think I read somewhere once that it wasn't great for long-term hair health. but now I'm literally down the hair care rabbit hole and it definitely seems more complex than that😂

@@daniellaviola444 I have heard that it depends on hair type. I think it’s bad for low porosity hair but good for high porosity hair.

@@SlytherinQueen537 that makes sense. I'm seeing a lot of mixed information about it online. But just from my own experience with high-porosity hair, the argan oil seemed to work best
