Guy did it correct. I have the same car with a little less drop and been a Toyota technician for 18yrs. He corrected his issues the right way. He was just setting the suspension up to factory specs.

Curious how the tires been after 6months or a year? I ask because shouldn’t negative camber cause a gradual wear from the middle of the tire to the inner edge? Not just a strip on the inner edge. I’m curious if the inner edge wear started developing again even after the alignment. I have the same exact inner edge wear but my cars been aligned twice within a year, car tracts straight, and camber is within factory spec but getting close to falling outta spec. It’s at about 1.3 degrees.

You are able to buy adjustable caster arms but for the price these SPC upper control arms are the way to go! That alignment is almost dead nuts

i run maxed out camber on stock arms and have toe close to 0 and have no issues with excessive tire wear

*I have the same car, I'm about to lower it on 18×8.5 +35 245/40r/18 with some Tein Flex Z they come -1.4 drop front and -1.8 drop rear from factory. My question is, are those adjustable arms really necessary?*
@s13gene Жыл бұрын
Yes when you lower a vehicle it adds toe and camber, that applies to front/rear

@s13gene Yeah, when I posted, I actually had all of those things 🤣🤣🤣 I just didn't want to install them. Which I did eventually. I learned that if you don't be right there with the alignment tech, they'll bypass the extra adjustments, they hate that!!!

340? That still sucks, I usually go with something from the high performance touring category. Way better treadlife, we’re talking at least double what the continental is rated. Plus traction is pretty much the same, way better in the wet too. I know summer tires once they start to get worn down get a bit squirrely in the rain
@dankdutch2 жыл бұрын
corrected negative camber for no reason , instead of the small patch of wear on the inside it will be the whole tire you can run -30 degrees and have no issues on tire wear. the real issue is TOE

Huh?

@BoBuilds I'm guessing the person was saying that you were waaaay negative camber, but you ended up still way to negative. Which I understand though as a preference, and at least it was somewhat even side to side.
