I have this model in red and black, with that one you can really see all of the red polyurethane protection behind the “crystal”. It has so much protection from vibration and mud that its my go to watch for duck hunting. I have owned it since 2013 its been submerged in tons of duck ponds and muck, and been subjected to countless amounts of recoil and yet never an issue.

Btw i think the wrist isnt the whole point tho, i have 7 inch wrist more or less but i have very long fingers and big hands, the 5610 looks small on my tiny wrist because my hands are so big

I’ve had mine for 8 years. I’ve worn it every single day. It’s on its original battery and has had an unbelievably tough life but is only now starting to show its age. I’m just going to buy another one. Toughest watch out there I’d say. Bargain.

FYI: The made in Japan GXW-56BB-1JF , is the only actual all black model, which has an all black bucket AND automatic satellite stuff, retails for more than that plain jane 56BB..

Just got mine and wore it to work for the first time and will objectively say I like my Timex Ironman better in a lot of ways. It's smaller but more legible. My regular Ironman is over 4 years old and still going strong, my new shock Ironman should last much longer but is not solar powered hence why I got the G shock King. Both are work horses and both have their place. One cost $45 the other $200.

Anyone have issue with this model getting foggy when it's exposed to water or a change in temp? I've heard from multiple ppl say that's a common issue and it's making me rethink about getting this model...not sure if that's the same with the more expensive one of this one with the atomic setting it whatever it is

I own it and never had fogging issue. Bought in europe via european dealer so no amazon/ebay. Im using it in 100C saunta then jumping into 4C water etc. Im not putting it down from my wrist so its with me in the shower, sauna, pool, outside during winter. Zero issues.

Condensation can happen in any watch introduced to big swings in temperature. It is recommended to open up the case and dry it out completely, either by yourself or a qualified watchmaker.

GX56BB-1 does not have Multiband. The GXW56BB-1JF does. The 1JF is the JDM version, the “W” stands for Waveceptor which is the multiband functionality. The GXW also has a black PVD buckle and not silver.

Just trying to make up my mind if I want the radio wave & all blacked out version or the normal version. I own the G9300 Mudman for years. Great, great watch and very tough. It was actually my first G-Shock. The GX has a better construction. They´re similar in functions. However, the Mudman has a twin sensor with compass, thermometer and moon phase and is a bit smaller. It also has a positive display (the regular one). It´s up to you.

GD-350 ist better. Better display and a more beautyful case of course. Note, the GX is just a normal GW-5000 Series packed in an oversized fuse case. The well-known protection is even better than in the smaller Squares. Not more, not less.

The KING was made by Gshock specifically to be the largest Gshock. That huge case was purposely made to be the very toughest of ALL Shocks, (which is really saying something). The BB series of KINGS rock!
