In Brazil Motorola has launched the Moto G 100 packed with 12gb ram and 256gb Storage as the only variant . It does have night mode,contrary to what was said on the video . It came up very expensive at first ,but it's price has come down satisfactorily and it has proved to be a good value for money phone .

The use of IPS LCD is a smart move given that the phone will endure lots of static content with its desktop mode for example using it as a trackpad or can it even be used as secondary screen while on desktop mode? For actual work, this phone is pretty good without the problem of burn-ins.

Yeah. The screen can be used while desktop mode is on. Which is nice for dual tasking. Movie on the big screen, something on the small screen, Or other way around.

I always prefer LCD. Oled gives me terrible headaches on phones due to Pulse width modulation. Oled TV's use the same pwm but instead of flickering at 250hz like phones, they flicker around 10000hz which doesn't affect most people

Yes , it looks quiet good , and nice to see a headphone jack , it also appears to have flat display which is nice (pity the display is not a tad wider though ), however the lack of loudish stereo speakers would kill it for me , and an SD card would also have been nice.

@@partycrashers22 They are getting more of Chinese Smartphone releases everyday, like Realms and Redmi or Poco. One perfect example is Realms 7 and Realms 8 series Realms 8 series isn't really a full upgrade over Realme 7 series....it upgrades few areas whereas cutting in some other areas. Now Moto, owned by Lenovo, simply following that trend. Not having Stereo speaker is a real bummer considering it has a Cinematic 21:9 display, perfect for watching movies.

One improvement suggestion: When criticizing a point like the sound quality or nighttime photoquality it would be hughly helpful to show the "best" phone of the same prize range in direct comparison so I instantly know how much of a difference those weakpoints make and if I can live with the drawbacks.

You know, I absolutely love Motorola phones. In fact, I have been using the Moto G power 2020 since the middle of last year and it is solid. Unfortunately, the US versions a Motorola phones do not have dual SIM card ability and that is a shame. It is something that was a requirement for a lot of my phones and I figured I could live without it because I liked the G power so much. However, it has been a real inconvenience not having both of my phone numbers on the same phone. Honestly, if the g100 had dual SIM card ability I would upgrade in a second. It really looks like a nice phone for anybody that doesn't really need dual SIM card ability. Motorola really does a nice job. I just wish that Motorola us would get with the program and offer dual SIM card ability on their phones. I am planning on switching over to a OnePlus 8 series phone because of the dual SIM card ability. Kind of a shame to leave the Motorola lineup but, that's the way it goes.

If you have a wired mouse and keyboard, you connect them to the phone using an MHL adapter or a docking station. If you have wireless Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, you can connect it to either the phone or to the TV.

What i find frustrating is that all these youtube videos show and talks about so many features and stuff but now that i have purchased the phone it is not easy to see which mode is what ( was looking for 4k and 6k capture and different frame rates )... am i missing something ? i cant figure out how to control these settings and its not mentioned in the manual and neither in any introduction when you get the phone and start using it.....

If you do deeply care about timely OS update, get the Pixel 5. Also, the Pixel has a much better camera performance than this G100. But if you always value headphone jack and want to use your smartphone as a pocket PC, get this Motorola. Motorola's Ready For Desktop Mode is a worthy alternative to Samsung DeX, Huawei Easy Projection, and LG Screen+. A side note, this Motorola has a front ultrawide camera.

I got ultrawide front camera, microSD card support, 3.5mm audio jack, USB 3.1 with Ready For Desktop Mode capability, and 5000mAh battery. For a flagship-grade smartphone that doesn't emphasize on professional-tier mobile photography and videography, this is definitely the one to have. If Motorola put an FM Radio chip in this phone, that would be the icing on the cake for me.

Nope. Their only giving Ready For to their devices with Snapdragon 800. Not to mention the Moto G9 power doesn't support Video output from the USB-C port, So even if they did. The phone wouldn't have anyway to project it. Edge+/Edge-S-G100 are the top flagships. Their mid-range is Edge. and their 3rd fastest phone is One Fusion+ (Only for Europe/India), and Fusion normal. Edge has SD 765 Fusion+ has 730 Fusion has 710. Most of motorola's other phones are the 600series or 400.

Their not bad, Slow, but not bad as LG. But Motorola does only give truly 1 OS upgrade. So since this G100/Edge-S comes stock with Android 11. It'll likely see Android 12. But 13 and above. Not likely. Samsung though promises 3 OS updates on their phones. So if you that route. You might wanna look at the S20/21's. Since i don't believe the A52 5g gets desktop mode if you're also looking for that feature.
