@colmfarrel4742
@colmfarrel4742 6 жыл бұрын
I disagree I think it would just turn into a wrestling match and possibly GSP would win. The only intriguing thing in that fight would be GSP's age fighting the younger man. On the other hand, I think fights with two completely different styles are more interesting. To me this is the essence of MMA and UFC as you get to see how one fighter negates the alternative style of the other to become the Ultimate Fighter.

GSP talks about fear and says it's okay to have fear. I would like to share my opinion on Conor McGregor and fear. I feel Conor McGregor had fear most of his early journey through the UFC, he still may have it now. He is not scared of any opponent you put in front of him. He is scared of the lifestyle he had before. He does not want to go back to it. He has a big ego and he cares about status alot as he said "he was a bum on social welfare". I feel that's what drove him to accomplish all this I feel fear had a lot to do with rise of Conor McGregor. Every fight was a chance to further his distance from that bum life. Every press conference was a chance to further himself from that bum life. Each time he grabed the mic he basically said to new fans come on this journey with me and I will show you that if you work hard and you believe in yourself you could do anything in this life. He grasped the opportunity and he never looked back.🙄

@Graham Hargreaves Dude, listen, GSP hasn't fought in 4 years, went through several serious surgeries and still whoop Bisping's ass. DC fought Stipe 4 or 5 months after Miocic's hardest (or one of the hardest) title defence. Just for comparison, GSP has 13 world titles, while DC has 5. These are facts, while yours are assumptions, so stop this nonsense already.

I like how everybody is talking about intermittent fasting as a new discovery while Muslims have been doing it for centuries during Ramadan. And before that, Jesus and even Moses ordained ti to their followers. In a society where people stuff themselves with all kinds of junk food, fasting can truly work wonders in your health and persona life accomplishments.

ignorance breeds prejudice .. no single muslim died out of fasting throughout history.. certainly you can die out of drug addiction and HIV virus because of free sex life style you embrace! you just dont know anything about Islam except as framed by the western mass media its allies .. typical racist comment . read ! read! and be well informed .

More like people are underestimating Khabib. And Connor became 2 division champ BECAUSE of his left hand. He's got NO WRESTLING, no ground game, no BJJ and most important he has NO CARDIO. Aldo became an idiot and walked into the left hand. Eddie Alvarez for whatever reason forgot he could wrestle. When I say people are underestimating Khabib, I'm referring to the fighers he trains with. DC, Cain and Luke Rockhold are BEASTS. If Connor does not catch Khabib in the first 2 mins, this will be a 5 round mauling. And it will not be pretty.

Other then his hands, all that he can do effectively is kick to the legs. He goes to the body and head buts it more of setup for his leg kicks and hands. He’s not a wrestler, jiu jit su guy, and he’s known for having super bad cardio so basically he has become double champ using only a few tools but very sharp effective tools.

GSP is a cherry picker. This means he is an expert at studying opponents he picks. He discovers their weakness and trains to beat it. So far it had worked. He is too concerned about his record to actually fight and be an underdog truly in a match where he stands to lose for example instead of defending the middle weight title against Romero or Whitaker he instead quickly chose to forfeit the title then came up with a "medical excuse" where he couldn't fight for a year or two. But now here he is wanting to cherry pick a light weight class fight and a championship fight. He should wait in line. He needs to fight some of the contenders first. He shouldn't be allowed to cherry pick.

No way in hell GSP would have challenged for the Middleweight title had the champ been Romero, Rockhold, or Weidman. Hes about the size of Gastelum, so I can see him taking that fight, and then Bisping was on tail end of his career. Youre 100% right, and the proof is in him never fighting Silva. They were both in their primes at the same time, but GSP chose to fight multiple guys, twice. The Hendricks was a definitive fight he should have taken Silva over his opponent, and argument is made for Diaz as well (my second favorite fighter btw). But Nick came off a loss, and good wrestlers are bad match ups for him. He didnt deserve the fight, but I dont blame Diaz for taking it.

John Gibbons agreed! There are 2 types of fighters that compete. The first type is a fighter. They show up to fight whether they are an underdog, they take risks and want to hurt and finish their opponent. They might not win the bout but their fight is always something a fan wants to see due to the action. The second type is a competitor. This Is what gsp is. They are more concerned with actually winning instead of fighting. If there is a chance they will get beaten then they make excuses not to fight the next slated opponent whether they get a doctor's note or try and claim the money isn't there or whatever. These type of fighters do things to win by points and don't care if they make a fight boring for the fans. If their opponent is on the same level then the fight goes to a decision. These types of fighters don't seem to finish their opponents too often. Gsp is definitely the 2nd type of fighter which is a competitor. I would of loved to of seen him fight Weidman, Romero or Whitaker but he knew he probably would of been on the losing end. Then his "greatness" value would of went down. I want to see gsp go into a fight a true underdog against a better wrestler and brawl. I like gsp but he is a cherry picker and he is very smart on winning and his strategy. Gsp should not get any special privileges over any other fighter in a weight class or it makes a mockery of the rankings system and the ufc title.

My GOAT is Penn. Guy had title in two classes and defended both of them. Fought in 5 weight classes. His biggest knock was he fought too far past his prime, but that doesnt take away from an unbelievable run he had. He also fought more fights out of his weight class than in. GSP would easily be the GOAT, had he fought Silva when the opportunity was there. He didnt. Now, Jones has that opportunity, by going to HW when he comes back and beating both Stipe and Cain. Then there is no more argument. (taking away any steroid accusations). Silva had the opportunity to go up and fight for the belt at LHW. He had already fought and beat a couple of the former champs/contenders from the division. He just never challenged for the belt. DJ will always be knocked for not going up as well. When he did, he lost to Cruz, granite it was early in his career, but that will haunt him forever now.

the combination of smart, class and humility this guy has is a marvel to behold! GSP is the GOAT not because he fights well (some of his fights were boring), but because he's been consistently fighting in the most intelligent manner while conducting himself as a true gentleman. you almost expect him to say sorry everytime he throws a punch, and yet he's a total beast! the exact antithesis of Mcnuggets...
