Of all the tuning parts in GT7, I think this one is the most important, considering the handling model of the game, which I personally think is broke 😲 This is such a well made video, going through in simple and easy to understand terms what the lsd does and how to adjust it 👏 Really looking forward to seeing more of your content 👍

One of the traits GT seems to have with some cars is where they go absurdly loose when you lift off, turning up the braking value definitely helps with this.

Thank you for explaining this so well. Between using the knowledge from this guide and some minor suspension adjustments to the rear on my V8-swapped ND Miata, I was able to pick up a lot of time. It's somehow top 3 on my Deep Forest 600pp list, into the 1:36s. I wasn't even sure that was possible with an FR. It's above the TME Evo, above the FD RX-7, above the Countach.

So LSD was a solution to my difficulty of driving (mostly) high-tier MR cars with no traction assist. I've always been fiddling with the suspension; wracking up my head how to fix my "fully" tuned up 512BB '76 from spinning out accelerating after turning a corner.
@Voss442 жыл бұрын
Yeah the LSD is a must have on high end cars for sure. I'm still rocking traction control, typically using 1 or 2. Slowly working to getting off using it, but I still find throttle somewhat tricky on controller.

@Voss442 жыл бұрын
I typically always tune suspension first. Makes it easier to fine tune your LSD once the car handles how you’d like. Just keep in mind LSD adjustments can affect your understeer/oversteer so you might need to adjust things on your suspension once your LSD is final.

I found FR easy to tune an straight forward on setup, but fair point. For FR it's usually near max diff and additonal rear aero and you're good to go.
@berettagt882 жыл бұрын
on PS4 Pro I'm transitioning to TC 0 : FR On dry the car grips no tire spin, but on wet it does spin way worse even with very little throttle input. What can I do to not spin? LSD or Suspension Trying to learn tuning.
@Voss442 жыл бұрын
Lowering the Acceleration setting on the LSD is the main factor, then possibly turning up initial torque if you continue to have issues. The final adjustment I've done on cars like the Camaro etc. was to add rear downforce. Some cars, if they have that much power output you're still going to lose traction if you don't feather the throttle, but that's where I'd start adjusting!

Can adjust braking sensitivity resolve rear-end sliding while braking at high speed and turning at the same time?
@Voss442 жыл бұрын
It'll help if you crank it up. Basically it'll make the LSD give you a bit more stability in that situation. But, one thing I picked up from the license tests was that braking is best full force in a straight line, THEN roll. Typically it's more effective if you have 4 tires making maximum contact before you turn.
@rinkumultani65152 жыл бұрын
at 2.45 u said higher braking sensitivity add more oversteer but your graph say higher sensitivity will add more understeer witch is it ? and i find in gt 7 bmw oversteer a lot midle of the apex no matter who i setup the car any tip?
@Voss442 жыл бұрын
Great question. When I said "spin out" I was referring to the snap oversteer you get with traction loss on corners, if accel sensitivity is too high (you get snap oversteer as the LSD puts more power back to the drivetrain). At 2:45 I was talking about the LSD in general, not specifically braking sensitivity. The graph is correct. In regards to braking sensitivity a higher value typically give you more understeer. So I've played with BMWs on a few tunes now (I've been trying to get an M4 tune I really like). I ended up going with Full Initial Torque (60), Lowest acceleration sensitivity as possible (5), and braking sensitivity about mid (35). That's on a FR drivetrain on the M4. The issue is, you're basically making the LSD work A LOT, taking away performance of the car. It is much more driveable, but I'm not a fan of how the BMWs in general seem to perform in GT7. You could raise the stiffness of your Anti-roll bars slightly, and if you find initial turn in is than lacking, add like 0.1-0.2 toe angle and some downforce. Just my take on it, I have yet to be able to tune a BMW so I'm happy with it. BMW and Porsche seem kind of funky in regards to tuning.

Would be nice to get gearing right.i keep spinning when downshifting to 3rd almost every time
@Voss442 жыл бұрын
I'll put together a gearing vid. To be honest though, that sounds like more of an LSD issue. Try raising your "deacceleration sensitivity" in your LSD and see if it helps. Just be careful you might have to adjust the suspension as well, because messing with the LSD does somewhat affect handling too. Any questions hit me up in the discord and I can help tune. Basically is the LSD is more active, the car will have more stability, but less available power being put down. Which sounds bad, but if you can find the sweet spot of mashing the throttle (or the brakes in your case) where the LSD doesn't make the car lurch to the side, you'll still be better off as you'll in theory make up the lost time and gain on the lap.

@@t.lledsmar6052 Awesome man I'll play around with it a bit more for sure! I also find on some of my tunes I'm intentionally dropping PP to squeeze out some more power as well, which is just not right from a mechanic standpoint. Like I'll go with a manual transmission or a 2 way LSD to drop more PP so I can add power to improve the build. Just seems like an oversight on PD's part as well. I get the feeling tuning will continually change over the next year or two.
