Hi, I'm from Nicaragua, Central America. In 1992 I bought a 2-stroke yamaha gt 80cc motorcycle, model 1988, I bought it from a neighbor for US$800 with an 8-month term but since I had an accident 2 times, I paid for it in 10 months hahaha. In 1995 I sold it and I regret it to this day because I lent that money plus US$200 to add US$1,000 and they didn't pay me, my father's cousin was my rat lawyer hahaha Until now when I see this video and hear that sound it came to me mind my cute little Yamaha GT 80cc two-stroke motorcycle. GOD BLESS YOU MUCH MORE.

Try using PVC pipe to put seals in when you have a long shaft to go over. Cheap and it's soft so it will not damage anything,many sizes in quarter-inch increments so you should be able to find just about any size you need.

bottom ring isn´t thicker, it´s just flat, while the top ring is conic, that´s why the bottom one doesn´t fit in the top groove.

We have 2 of these including the red one we had since it was brand new in 1980. They are supposed to have a square rear light and the motors were silver. Nice job tho!

Thanks for the info, the engine did have some silver, I actually may paint it again, didn't know about the taillight either, I still have a long way to go!

That was fun. If you have pre-mix and the auto oiler is working you will decrease the fuel / air ratio so it will run weak and hot.

For the carb, what are the jet settings you start with? In other words, as you screw them in, how many turns when backing out?

how's your compression? looked like that piston might've been just short of top of cylinder. Throttle braking is my trick too. Hit throttle and brakes together to keep gas flowing.
@kentuckyyankee3 жыл бұрын
I haven't checked what the compression is, I know it is possible to get more compression out of this engine. The oil pump is now working properly so I am not as worried about seizing it anymore, thanks for all your help Noped Thursday!
