It's a command line that you make in notepad and save in your GTA 4 directory. It allows the game to basically a bigger amount of available memory, but this could, not saying that it does, but could damage either the software or hardware itself, most likely if you have an old outdated GPU.

Well I don't know if you should play on max settings but what could help is check your config and make sure you're using all your cpu cores, by going to start/run/type "msconfig"/click on boot/advanced options/tick check box number of processors/select max number which should be 4 for you.

@jaymunk1 it has A LOT to do with your processor. That gfx card sould be enough, but it RECCOMENDS a 2.4 ghz QUAD CORE. So, a 3ghz qquad is perfect.

The "spawning in thing" is called the simple native trainer. And for graphics, either, make your game a higher priority in task manager and close all other programs that aren't a necessity, or.. upgrade your gpu - *Graphics* card

The trainer should be able to, not quite sure. I use the most currently updated version. But 1.0.4.0 is the correct version if you were going to install icenhancer.

btw if you're using GTA IV in Steam simply open Steam right click the game - go to properties - click on 'launch options' and paste these command line options in there, click ok then close and launch the game viola

Yeah, it's using the rage engine, but what i ment was it's not the engines fault. Max Payne 3 is also using Rage engine and it ran pretty good on PC.

It is possible indeed Just need At least 3.00 Ghz cpu and 1 but 2 reccomended gigs of ram probably also at least 700 mb of video ram and you could get it running 15 fps at most

I think I know whats yar problem. 1: Do you have AMD Radion? If yes, wel you indeed have poor fps in IV 2: This let GTA use as much Video memory as it needs, so if ya run out of memory you have frame drops. So lower the texture setting or water, The "bad" water setting is the best.

but best way for me is after doing all this. then you open your game. next, you open task manager and end task window explorer. to run it back open task manager. click file click run new task. type in windows and enter. i think this will work a bit more less lag.

i have Nvidia 9500GT 1024MB ddr2 , Intel Core2Duo E7500 2.93 ghz 1066Mhz , 4GB RAM , and ASUS P5KPL-AM motherboard and Windows 7 Professional . I run gta iv with every thing on Very High and view distance 50 and i get 20-30 fps (mostly depends of the surroundings ( in the city 20-25 ) on the beach or in the airport (25-30+) . I also have VisualIV 1.5.2 enb graphic mod so the graphics are absolutely SICK and the game runs perfect !! before i had Windows XP and it wouldn't get more than 18 FPS.

DUDE! ITS THE OTHER WAY- its availablevidmem 1.1 which is the mutiplier of your VRAM. and percentvidmem 100 which is how many percent GTA 4 can utilise your Vram

So this actually does work... kind of. Since I have a laptop, I have no way to upgrade (spec: Intel Core i5 3210M @3.1GHz, 4GB RAM @1333MHz, NVIDIA GeForce 610M @1GB, DDR3). Before, with 1.0.0.4 patch I got 22.3 - 35.8 FPS average on all medium settings (according to the benchmark), afterwards I got 30.2 - 42.4 FPS (again, according to the benchmarks), and for a laptop, this is not bad.

its not the game, if it says u can go up to for EX 1000 g and it lags around 820 mb then you dont have a strong enough power suply, srry for spelling error upgrade ur power suply at your local store
