Optimus was a Peterbilt 379 not a GMC General. The original phantom would have been a better because it's a Peterbilt 379.

That's very true, however in most of the terrible Michael Bay movies he's a Peterbilt. And most people recognise that model over the original I would say. Glad they changed it for the Bumblebee.

It only really kind of resembles the first Transformers concept Camaro. I don't even remember the last knight, I can barley watch Michael Bay's "movies"
