I don't like how cars explode twice with the RPG in gta5. You have the explosion of the rocket and then the explosion of the fuel tank, instead of a one big explosion like in Gta4. Also I don't understand why cars are so light in this game. A tiny explosion can make a car fly.

GTA IV feels like an experiment into the 3d universe with its new physics and graphics. Amazing gameplay for its time and the story was deep storyline and dark side of liberty city, differed from the rest of the franchise.GTA V has an amazing storyline and is a masterpiece as far as graphics and gameplay! Now we are in the 4K UHD OLED universe.. so let’s see what GTA VI will bring.

Tbf, even tho i personally prefer the driving in gta4, ive heard that "the physics should match the map", and it does kinda make lots of sense tbh. It also makes it easier to accept & enjoy the handling in gta5 imo. =P Also, as others have mentioned (yet never enough); the bikes in 4 are glitched due to higher fps! The same argument you use of "Ah, but the cars in GTA V are lame" is the same when you ride a GTA IV motorcycle. Check out a showcase of a mod that takes away this horrible handling and makes it realistic, just like GTA V. This doesn't mean that one GTA is more realistic than the other in terms of physics, which doesn't exist to this day, but it seems that what you who like GTA IV say is not true! I was fooled all this time, thinking that GTA IV was this wonderful thing. I just played it, to see that this game is a complete overkill

(The most obvious damage is the tearing of the side panels and bumpers, nothing else) You have to hit the wall many times to deform/bend. This is not realistic at all. Even; Panto, Fire Truck, Bus, Mule, Trashmaster and most super vehicles don't deform/bend. They are immune to deform/bend for some reason. In Gta 4, "all" vehicles are soft deformed/bend in a realistic way. There even metal crumple in the vehicle.

La verdad esperaba que gta 4 ganara completamente como dicen muchos pero la verdad es que en la mayoría son completamente iguales e incluso gta 5 gana en algunas. Y en las que gana gta 4 algunas es porque los coches en gta 5 tienen camara en primera persona y si se deforma demasiado atravesaría el techo, o es porque no existe gravedad alguna enp gta 4. Por lo que para mí esto es un empate y no hay downgrade.

The people who say GTA 4 is way better than GTA 5 are either on large amounts of copium unheard of, or mentally deficient. I played through IV and V and having realistic physics doesnt always mean it's better. Driving a car and a motorcycle (especially motorcycle) was atrocious. And having to cap FPS in order to drive a motorcycle is complete bullshit. and no checkpoints made it incredibly infuriating to play. Wasnt even fun at that point. The story and character development yes are way better than V but from a gameplay standpoint, GTA V is superior in every way

Actually, in Gta 5, vehicles are much more rigid. So body deformation/bend is less. And it's hard to get. (takes time) Mostly bumpers and side panels break off. In fact, the Fire truck, panto, Trashmaster, bus, mule and fire truck are completely immune to deformation/bend in Gta 5. In Gta 4, there is very noticeable realistic and smooth vehicle deformation/bend. You can clearly see the crumpling of the metal in the vehicle. So, if you crash the same type of vehicles at the same angle in both games, you will clearly see the difference.
