@@neurolowfixyeah, and that’s what people liked about it. Same with GTA 3, lots of stuff in there were similar to, or inspired by, mob movies, to include Godfather, Goodfellas, Scarface, and others. People loved the movies, so they love the similar storylines, references, and nostalgia that are included in the games. That’s why they also had several characters voiced by actors from mob movies. Nothing stolen lol, everyone was aware.

@@mickt6670 GTA V takes a ton of inspiration from Heat - great choice imo. I think Lester was inspired by Nate. Michael seems to play a bit off of Neil McCauley, Trevor feels like an unhinged Waingro. The big bank heist at the end with a shootout in the streets is an homage to the ending heist in the movie, and there's a very obvious heist mid-game that takes elements directly from the hit on the security truck in the opening scene. Great movie. Great game.

Even though the only GTA game I "grew up" with was 5, I still got chills seeing the VI fade in along with the words "Grand Theft Auto". I’m just excited for them to fill the world with mechanics and environments they mastered in rdr2. New engine, volumetrics, proper weather systems, mud, dust, better car physics, combat. Everything will be levels above gta 5. They really made a point of including a LOT of boats as well. There was never much of a need for boats in gta 5 but this map will make boats a lot more useful.

Won’t be. They pump up the population density, particle effects, lighting, physics etc for the trailer. Have a look at the original trailer for GTA 5 on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. It looks better than the current PS5 & series X game still.
