Fantastic script. I can’t imagine the programming and work that went into it…Why is Lokasenna not in the community anymore?
@IDDQDSound2 жыл бұрын
I kinda know the reason but I'm not supposed to know so I won't say anything lol! But most often when people leave the community is because they're insanely gifted and skilled coders and they unfortunately don't make enough from REAPER scripts to just do that, yet they often deal with feature requests and bug fixes, etc. The same. Which is why it's so important to donate to them! So we get to keep them :)

I've been trying to use keyboard shortcuts for everything. I'm running out of keys and my brain seems to be shrinking or something. Wait, what was I talking about? Oh yeah, Lokasenna's radial menu. Ha, I need this ASAP. Thanks for sharing your ideas. You do have some great ones for sure.

I’m glad you brought Radial Menus in Reaper back up! The other videos are super old, and I believe “Lokesana” quit developing this. But the potential is amazing! You, I believe have other videos on the normal Reaper Menus (let’s call those Linear). Can you have those pop up with a hot key, beneath the cursor, and disappear on release in the same way? If so, or if not, I imagine being able to keep your left hand on the Keyboard over a number of single press keys, and your right hand on the Mouse (or trackball, trackpad, pen), and then program Either Linear or Radial menus to pop up for almost every action. Replacing the memorization of keyboard shortcuts almost entirely. Any thoughts on how to use these in conjunction with each other? Video idea?
@IDDQDSound2 жыл бұрын
Yes that's possible through contextual toolbars: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rqbMc2uXfKmCZ5o

Love the way you do these. I often have to rewind and pause on & off during step-by-step instructions, but better that than trying to skip over fluff. It's really a better way and I get much more information. Obviously that is because you give more information, and explain the 'why's and options very well. Thanks!

@@Gang-25j Yes. Copy them to the User Plugins folder of your REAPER install. If you don't know where that is, open REAPER, go to options>Show REAPER resource path, and in the folder that opens go to User Plugins. After you paste, re-start REAPER for the changes to take effect!

Does that "Write to Time Selection" command at 10:33 work for any plugin parameter, or only the fader volume? I tend to automate my track volume using the gain knob of a plugin instead of the main fader, but I would still love to use this action. And is it a custom made action, or a Reaper/SWS default one?

hi Arya, I have an unrelated question. Not sure what to do. I created a VST strings patch and in the middle of the track I took a section split it, copied, and then pasted to an VST B3 Organ track. My issue is the last cord of the Organ track continues to sustain and will not shut off. Not sure how to shut it off and stop it from sustaining. And I also noticed in the midi editor the actual piano role is all grayed out no white or black keys.? And for some reason I cannot write in sharps or flats just regular notes, Grrrrrr,……Would love your help and feedback thanks.
@IDDQDSound2 жыл бұрын
Heyy! So the Organ issue first. I showed this in an earlier video (5 midi options...) but basically when you cut and copied the organ track, the note off was cut out so there's only a note on message with no note off. Just select the last chord of the organ and just trim it back 1/16th and then put it back. That'll fix it. The notes are greyed out cuz you have key snap enabled probably to C Major. On the bottom of the midi window, untick the key snap and you're good to go!
@MattyB32 жыл бұрын
@@IDDQDSound Thanks Arya, So being stupid when I edit the VST string patch in midi editor the chords bleed into the next chord or even if cut them out it still has a sound. I tried your suggestion and selected the cord and trimmed back but still it continues or the end they continue to bleed into the next chords. Really appreciate your help. Thanks
