I AM NOT COMPLAINING
GTA V’s storymode as a whole makes sense from start to finish, there are very little filler missions and the overall story is valid. However, when taking a deeper dive into each mission and how events went down, some things just don’t make sense and we will discuss these events in this video.

One that kinda bothers me is that we are told that Sandy Shores is quite far away from Los Santos thus is why Michael and Trevor never accidentally found or heard of each other before. Yet every mission after where we head from the city to sandy shores its treated like just a little bit away. They go all the way there just for a helicopter just to fly it back to los santos, look at some trucks they could easily look at from the street, and then fly all the way back and then they both (Trevor and Lestor) have to go back to Los Santos to plan the heist Also the Humane Lab raid requires a cargobob yet in a heist before this we just got one from the base. A lone man invaded a united states military base to steal 1 slow helicopter and the most they send after him is a buzzard or 2

that’s a good observation about Los Santos and Sandy Shores being close to each other, but maybe in their world they didn’t have a reason to visit the city and countryside vice versa. it’s not really reasonable for an almost 50 year old Trevor to travel to a city just being a tourist

@@dramaticvirghoe True, but as the CEO of Trevor Phillips Incorporated i assume he would want to expand his business and do dealings with the Ballas, Vagos, Kkangpae, and various other gangs there. Also we see in Online that Trevor does go to Los Santos to at least talk to the online protagonists about the Series A heist (which takes place 3 months before Single Player). You can even set up the apartment a block or 2 away from Michaels house (although he does operate mostly on the west side under the highway so yeah they wouldn't really be crossing paths there)

i think michael saying his iconic line was him getting back into his "criminal" character. michael says many times in the story how he ENJOYS the chaos of the life he's living currently and hated the mundane retirement. when michael said the iconic line, he most likely was filled with ego after successful robbing a store just like his old days and either mistakenly said the line or said it due to his chaotic desiring self taking over, returning to his old self. like michael said before the heist, he assumed trevor was dead, he thought trevor was too crazy to live all this time.

Michael on his ego trip making noob mistakes, tv interviewing that guard (police would never allow disclosing important details and witnesses), the guard remembered the line perfectly, and finally Trevor watching this particular channel in that particular time in some trailer in a middle of nowhere while banging Johnny's girlfriend?! Sadly, the whole story and almost every scene is like this.... 1. How did Tanisha knew that Lamar got set up before Franklni when she wasn't even in the hood anymore? 2. Does Wade never leave the couch at the stripclub? Not even to eat or take a dump? 3. Why does no one lay low after the Paleto Bay and Union Depository heists? They made it more of a big deal robbing a jewlery store than millions of dollars in gold bricks.
@user-s8gma48zzl34
@user-s8gma48zzl34 23 күн бұрын
1. At the time, I'm pretty sure Tanisha still contacted and worried about Lamar's well-being and noticed he hadn't been around recently, or because it was just a video game 2. Might seem like I'm scraping the bottom of the bucket, but Wade probably moves and does basic human functions when off-screen. If you shoot up the strip club, everyone including Wade runs away meaning he isn't stuck or anything, or maybe because it's just a game 3. FIB got their backs, or maybe because it's just a game Edit, the reply below me serves a valid point, dirty cops would care about the Paleto Bay bank, sending more funding towards keeping it safe, and wouldn't want to reveal too much of it, for the same reason, killing two birds with one stone. It also being government-planned, sort of, probably helped the protagonists not think of needing to lay too low. One reason why Micheal laying low at the Vangellica Job and not the Plaeto might be because he lives down the street to Vangellico, but across the state to Paleto Bay, Makin him not worried about anything going wrong
@mithvibes4727
@mithvibes4727 23 күн бұрын
1. i agree with what the first reply said and also the fact that franklin basically said "everybody knew stretch knew" or something along those lines suggesting everybody connected in the hood was aware of the OG stretch's intentions. 2. yea i think it's just implied offscreen for video game shenanigans. 3. i think because the vangelico heist was in the city therefore would be a big deal in the media compared to a bank in the sticks hoarding cops dirty money that they probably wouldn't want covered in the media. for the union depository, im not so sure. possibly because (and this is just a wild guess) whoever was in charge didn't want the media to know hundreds of millions were just stolen

I have about 2,000 hours in Grand Theft Auto (with 1,800 of those mostly in single-player), so I’ll go over a few of your points and share my perspective: 1. Your first point about the BOLO for the car makes sense, I can't really think of an argument against that. 2. Michael was looking for a target that wasn’t too big but would still make millions. It's likely that the jewelry store is the only place around Los Santos that sells high-quality gems. The store being near Michael's house in Rockford Hills might have just been coincidental, as Michael says during the Merryweather Heist, "That store's just down the road from my house." 3. Michael's famous quote comes from a classic Vinewood movie, so it’s very possible that it’s just a phrase he’s been using for decades. After rolling with many people, he might not have thought about the consequences of saying it. However, it’s more likely that Rockstar used it as a way to set up Trevor finding out that Michael is still alive. 4. Once again, Michael playing dead was likely just an oversight on Rockstar's behalf. They might have thought, "Eh, it’ll be fine," although I do agree it’s a bit unrealistic. 5. While I'm not 100% confident, the reason they likely didn’t follow the train is because most of the military was dead and they started to back off. Plus, Chef was giving them a break, and they probably thought the gang was with Chef, as he says during the mission, "They think there’s more than one of me." 6. It probably would have taken too long to set up a roadblock, and the trucks left as it was happening. Although it wasn’t very smart of the cops not to follow them into the tunnel, they do mention getting a ground team in there. 7. I’m not going to comment on the Merryweather Heist point, as I’m not 100% sure what you’re referring to. 8. When Lester wires the money, it’s likely not right after the heist. In-game, it’s probably about a month or so later, though there’s no way of proving that, due to the way time works in GTA. It wouldn’t surprise me if it was a bit after. Plus, Rockstar likely did this because there’s only one mission after this, and they didn’t want players who only play for the missions to wonder, "Where’s my money?" and stop playing after the missions.

He's also not insane, just emotionally unhinged. I feel like this heist is just a middle finger to Saints Row's over-the-top nature, with Rockstar basically saying, "We can do insane as well, only far better than you." It's also to show what a lunatic Trevor is.

i want to explain a bit why michael felt like it wasnt risky to say his signature line; it’s because for one, it was a quote from a movie, that he made his own. for two, he was a notorious bank robber, that had fans, that subsequently knew his lore/ lines or tactics he used, that were signature to him. so realistically, there is a possibility a fan could have said this signature line, during a heist, because they idolized michael. for three, without speculating, it is certain fact, that michael goes into quite a lot of detail explaining to lester, during the planning of the vangelico heist, that michael believes that trevor is dead. him knowing the type of person trevor is, he felt that if trevor were still alive, he certainly would have been looking for, or found michael already. but, also doing a bit of speculation, i feel that michael probably thought that a news reporter, interviewing the witness that says michael’s line, to the reporter, wouldn’t give trevor any more incentive than he already had to find/ continue looking for michael, IF he was still alive. but, what michael didn’t know, is that trevor was still alive. and, trevor truly thought michael was dead. hence, why that news report triggered the beginning of trevor’s true search, for michael. lmk what y’all think! 👇

Okay I'm about to analyze the hell out of this and explain some things. 1: Yes that's a very good point. Lazy writing on Rockstar. They probably just needed a good ending for the Jewel Store Heist and a way for the characters to go out to not drag out as you said. 2: By taking a long and needless look at Google maps and what people think Michael's house is based off of, it's about a half an hour drive to the Vangelico store (as in game) from Michael's house. Around 7-8 miles. Whether it's too close is up to the person seeing the distance. Definitely a scaling issue as it's 118 miles to where people think Mount Chiliad is based off to Michael's house and so scaled up, the San Andreas entire map in real life is probably 140 miles, give or take. This is a VERY rough estimate as I can't be assed to take the time to map all of the locations in Los Angeles to triangulate different distances to real life. So, given that we're scaling 140 miles (give or take by like 20 miles) into an 8.5 mile map from top to bottom, I'd say the distance scaled to the Jewel Store to Michael's House is accurate and if we're thinking the game characters are thinking that distance, I don't think it'd be too close for Michael. 3. Michael wanted to believe Trevor was dead. It had been 9 years since the Ludendorff heist. Michael was not thinking about "Oh maybe Trevor would remember this one line I said a decade ago, because it'd happen to be on the news" All Michael was thinking in that situation is: "There's this guy that's about to blow our job, we need to threaten him somehow, oh there's that one line I remember "You forget a thousand things everyday pal, make sure this is one of them" that's cool af." He wasn't aware that Trevor was gonna find him from that because Trevor's whereabouts was still very unknown and Michael had told himself that Trevor could not have survived years ago to get worry off his back. Michael just said it cuz he felt cool. 4. Dave is part of the FIB, he had people at the FIB associated with all types of people to get Michael in under the radar and out of the books, he definitely would have made it to the body bag stage with ease. Also Michael was knocked out. Very poor work ethic and irresponsible morticians though. 5. This is absolutely valid questioning. It's definitely just an oversight by rockstar. (also not called the humane labs raid, it's called Monkey Business) 6. Also 100%. Think Rockstar was just under time constraints and doing everything extra while limited by the hardware of the PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles had to make it so that heists were cut down so they could fit the game. 20 gigabytes was considered big back then. 7. Not gonna say much because you're right about the merryweather heist. However, it's probably less of a scaling issue and more of Rockstar not wanting the player to travel for half an hour in a slow ass submarine. 8. I hate saying this but: It's a game. The game would be tedious as hell if every heist had to be laundered over months and months. Technically, Lester didn't wire it straight away and only until Ending A, B or C is complete, they're actually given money and having separate banks to keep track of and all that for story mode. There's a fine line between realism and fun, that'd just make the game boring. All round decent video my dude. Some parts could be explained if you just thought a bit more. Overall, these 8 points are just a fraction of GTA 5's story and everything else makes sense.

When setting up this heist, meaning no other criminals would be there to find out. As for the feds, i dont think they would have put the peice together much and Michael figured davey would cover it up if any started to question, going based on what is said in the starting cutscene of dead man walking michael made daves career, michael being known as alive would ruin him

The crazy thing is that all of the approaches I chose apparently aren't canon. I like Offshore for the Merryweather heist, Obvious for The Big One, and Loud for the jewelry job. Offshore felt more realistic to me, that's the thing. But every time you mentioned scaling issues, that's the answer. I always lament that they should've worked on the game longer so its first release would've been exclusive to PS4 and Xbox One. Now to attempt explanations. 1. Michael is characteristically cocky, so the movie quote during the jewelry heist isn't an afterthought, because he also assumed Trevor was dead. Dave admits that he's been talking to Trevor as Brad for quite some time without telling Michael. This is heard during their drive in By the Book. That's why I drive slowly, because vital details can be missed otherwise. 2. Not just Merryweather should've came after them for stealing what I assume is a new, devastating warhead or sci-fi device such as a rocket to accomplish interstellar travel, or a power source to time-travel. When Trevor guessed it ran off nuclear power, it immediately made me think of how the DeLorean is powered. Anyway, terrifying deep state special ops would be sent after them as well. My guess? Merryweather thought they were badass enough that they could handle the trio on their own, so that's why they didn't call for actual backup. That was the trio's saving grace, was robbing a private firm who thinks they're unstoppable. This heist is also further evidence to us that Trevor is so unhinged that he's willing to cause a possible world war just to make money. I think that was the only reason for the heist, as well as to gloat to Volition that they can do over-the-top better than Saints Row. Because in Saints Row 3, the player steals and kills so cartoonishly without actual consequences just because. But the Merryweather heist is so much work for nothing because whatever that device is, its theft would realistically lead to their deaths if the deal went through. 3. I'm stumped regarding the Paleto job. It's literally just a crossover parody of 44 Minutes and Rambo. 44 Minutes because that shootout was insane, the perps were heavily armed and armored, and the special effects are similar to Michael's special ability. Rambo because it's in a mountain town and has both sheriff's deputies and the military chase the protagonists. A second shootout would've been awesome, but Michael orders Lester to be called, so maybe Lester informed the FIB, and they handled the heat? That's the only thing that makes sense, is for Dave, Steve, and Sanchez to have had something to do with helping them escape. 4. Again, my approach for The Big One apparently isn't canon, but the way it's executed feels more realistic, especially seeing how the Smart way plays out. I've only played the Smart approach once. It just isn't that fun for me, and I didn't make good choices with the crew the first time. And about wiring the money, I think Lester had a plan from the start to make it look legit. For Franklin's assassination missions, he mentions having a stock trading portfolio and covers for taxation, which is how Frank got his new home. As with the others, that's just my best guess. 5. You can actually pretend to be dead, but it requires some ninja-type technique to slow the heart rate so low that machines can't detect it. The problem is that Michael obviously doesn't know martial arts or any of their special techniques, which is ironic considering he can do yoga, so the only explanation is that Dave had to have made it so Michael could be passed off as a corpse easier without all the red tape stuff. In the end, Michael mentions Dave being the one keeping the heat off of them, so it's safe to say Dave is still alive and with the Bureau in 2024. Their connection to the FIB is the only reason they made it so far, in the same way Niko's connection to the IAA was why he stayed free. It all boils down to them being allowed to commit crimes. That's what makes the events more believable.

1:50 also, there's artwork of Michael in Franklin's mansion so it seems like that was originally his house, but Rockstar change it mid development, but they didn't change anything from the Vangelico heist, this based on one of the first posters leaked from the game which showed Michael in the Vangelico heist.

About the big score Gauntlet getaway part, it doesn't make any sense for what the police did once the crew got away because remember what happened during the Paleto score setup. Lester had a police radio to monitor chatter and they said that they're gonna set up checkpoints on the GOH. Even Trevor annoyingly said something about that hence why the route back to the meth lab was the backwoods. Wouldn't you think police would have called to set up checkpoints right then and there?

Why was that tennis coach hiding in the house of Matrin Madrazo's girlfriend? The coach actually didn't even hide, he was just chilling on balcony knowing they are after him, instead to move inside. But why he was there? Was he banging that Russian girl as well, and Martin was ok with that? Why Michael (and Franklin) didn't just eliminate Madrazo? He was alone, just one bodyguard armed with a baseball bat (plus his gf). Why Michael was so weak in that scene, plus so many other (like Fabian humiliating him in front of Amanda), yet he is a super-ninja thief in some others? What was Michael doing in the backseat of Jimmy's car when Franklin broke into their house? There are million problems with this story.

Him saying the line is supposed to be reckless and ultimately dumb from his part since it feeds his ego. It makes a lot of sense from a character stand point for him to just say a random movie quote as a way to revive his criminal past. It's not so stupid in the sense of Trevor catching onto that (since Michael was sure that he probably died after all this time) but in the sense that he's pretty much announcing that Michael Townley is back and robbing once again, which would be obvious for the ones who recognize his criminal past, like Dave knowing right away it was him who robbed the place

With the quote thing: Micheal most probably didnt say that exact quote always, he was an old school movie enthusiast as we know from the story He used this quote in North Yankton because it was fitting the situation He did it again when, again there was a perfect opportunity for it. Even Trevor said that (im paraphrasing) "who is that guy using my old friend name, living in a mansion probably paid for with my dead friends stashed milions and using my dead friends tired old movie quotes" hinting that Micheal was using "quotes" not only one A lot of time has passed and Micheal thought Trevor was dead, he even said that he was sure that if Trevor didn't die right after that he would die from overdosing or just doing some stupud shit, after all Trevor was a top tier psycho, he was the guy that could die at any second because he just chose to randomly start a shootout. The jewel store heist was planned quickly, because micheal needed the money asap, Lester proposed the paleto bay bank too but Micheal said that this would be too much. Their escape plan involved going on cross bikes because of the fact that bikes are more maneuverable and have better acceleration. They originally thought they will lose the cops in the tunnels but when they got out they were surprised that police is there already. They quickly pushed off them racing against the time trying to hide before the helicopter got on the scene The bolo most probably was set out, but Be On The LookOut isn't equal searching the nearby houses, its for every cop in the area to immediately pursue or stip the vehicle matching the description IF it was on the road, they couldnt enter those houses and search them without a warrant or at least reasinable suspicion. Also on the quote, Dave said to Micheal (again paraphrasing) "have you lost your mind? This job, this... Everyone who knows your file!!" This means that he pulled off the heist in his typical style, movie quotes, professionalism, in and out quickly. Thats all when it comes to this part, i will probably write more comments on other things, sorry for probably a lot of mistakes, missclicks in my writing etc. Im on a phone and its weird.

They could've set Michael to live on the Vinewood Hills instead, one of those houses that are further up on the mountain, maybe near where Franklin would live in the future. It'd then make more sense for him to be robbing Vangelico. Or perhaps switch houses between Franklin and Michael, having Michael live on 3671 and Franklin live on current Michael's house (redesigning the interiors and maybe the buildings so it makes sense for them and their situation)

I hate how most of GTA 5 happens because of michael's recklessness,like for instance destroying martin madrazo's house (making michael need to rob stores and banks much sooner than if he just continued living a normal life until the cash for dave norton,shopping and mortgages werent there anymore),and his one liner causing trevor to find michael and franklin getting roped into their operations.

1 It wasnt the quote that made trevor suspicious it was the way the heist was planned. Dave wasnt worried about the quote he says the whole job everyone who knows your file what is wrong with you. He wasnt referring the quote but how the job was done. Ih and micheal was obsessed with old movies and quote them all the time. Even if micheal didnt said the quote trevor would still found out .2 paleto heist The police lost them out of sight why should the train stop and they getting another fight? That doesnt make sense the police lost their trail. 3 the big score heist did the police knkw after the lost them were they drove? No so how can they set up road blocks if they didn't know where they were driving they cant place road blocks 4 they didnt sold the super weapon at all. If they did they would ended up on a watch list Oh and merryweather is a private army they probably pay off the cops not to disturb them 5 lester is extremely good at hacking he tracked micheal down in seconds so he can easily transfer the money to the characters yes it makes no sense they will get that amount of money on their banks without raising suspicion. Go watch darkviperau vid about micheal and the gta story and you will understand. 😊

Yep to pronounce death a 12 lead needs to be done with no signs of electrical activity (heart pumping) or the person must have injuries not compatible with life (such as a decapitation) for death to be officially called. I feel like the bigger issue not mentioned is being zipped up in a body bag you'd probably be really dead by the time getting examined due to the lack of oxygen 😂.
