Did anyone else notice that step 4 of the bonnie salvage was “Mandatory Suicide”? And the steps were “By now, the animatronic should be fully aware and hostile due to your tamperings. You should accept your death with…” and then it gets too hard for me to read 47:11

4. MANDOTORY SCUICIDE If you made it this far you've seen too much. At this point the animatronic should become fully aware and hostile due to your recent tampering's. accept your death with open arms because the door is now locked and you will not escape this room. even if you somehow manage to evade this--

I think the reason the hips are so crucial to their movements is cause they literally have no spine, their back is completely stiff because it’s a hard plastic or metal (at least to my knowledge) so all movement in the torso has to be done with the hips. So indeed, those hips do not lie.

Fun fact: the real reason they're called floppy disk, is in 1971, the first generation of easy portable media was made: the 8in diskette. Big and floppy, it earned the nickname "floppy disk". Shortly after, another format, the 3.5 in diskette was introduced, this is what MatPat is talking about, it kept the "floppy" nickname, since it looked like a smaller version of the bigger ones. No other reason.

10:00 I recall years ago as a small child. We just happened to have "grape water" for whatever reason, it was grape flavoured water, clear as day. And delicious, the only time I wanted to try, saucht out, and enjoyed drinking water. But never knew what exactly it was or where it came from. And never really brought it up, years later, I tried, but my Mother had no idea what I was talking about. But it led to trying flavour packets, which just, burns? Like if you have it in a regular sized water bottle, it hurts, to drink, like it physically burns. And I'm fkasks, it was fine, but wasn't fun, it wasn't enjoyable, because it still had discomfort to it. And eventually gave up. I recall a Game Theory sponsored by this, I've already forgotten, airup? Something up, right? Well, hearing about it again, though, I can't really smell, and, seem to taste scents more than anything, I question if it'll work on me at all, or if it'd work even better because of, tasting, smells, in general seems to be my life. But, it does make one question, and I might just look into it. Worst comes, I get a new bottle, and feel obligated to drink water because of it, regardless of it's effectiveness, and maybe that's all I would really need.

Hi, I can answer the question at 33:41. They aren't called a floppy disk officially. Instead a "diskette," was it's real name. But they came in bendable jackets, so they were nicknamed floppy disks. 💾

Fact-Pat to the rescue regarding 'Floppy' discs - whilst the interior on the newer versions are still floppy, its predecessors the 8 and 5 1/4 inch (the bigger one used in the video) were indeed floppy. You can hear it flex whilst off screen in the very same video.
@cameronarndt7889
@cameronarndt7889 Жыл бұрын
Fun fact: the name floppy disk comes from the early versions of the disks which were large flat squares with a magnetic disk inside, these disks had some kind of soft plastic cover, almost sleeve like in appearance, and these disks were in fact floppy as you held them, in fact you could damage the disk by them flopping too much, these disks started out as large 8 inch disks eventually were shrunk to 5.25 inches and again to 3.5 inches, as they got smaller they had less bend and flop to them, but were still very small flat disks that could only store so much data on them. CDs later replaced floppy disks. looking at the floppy disks they are using, they appear to be the smaller 5.25 or 5 1/4 inch disks. according to a quick wikipedia search, the 5.25 inch disks were around from 1976 - about 1986 and 1987 which is when there was a change to the denser 3.5 inch disks... I'd guess that the disks for these FNAF maintenance checks were quite old by the time they were used in these recordings... and likely would have received soma damage and scratches, since the little metal cover wasn't a thing till the 3.5 inch disks were made. though, I think they had to have multiple disks to do the full tests, and there's only three there. quite curious.

Puts floppy disk in backwards....and i immediately felt uncomfortable. I got goosebumps and immediately did a face palm. My 1st grade computer class (1991) had 20 apple 2 E, all used a floppy disk. We played Oregon trail and a large selection of games (all we did was play games) It was drilled into our head how to put a floppy disk in. One kid put it in backwards for a joke and it got stuck....we got a long lecture (teacher was not happy)

As a note: yes, the floppy disk was inserted backwards. Incidentally, 5¼" disk drives (especially for the IBM PC 5150, which this appears to be based on) had levers that you would lower in order to secure the disk inside the drive. If you didn't close the lever, the PC wouldn't be able to read the disk. These were designed so that if the disk was inserted backwards, the lever wouldn't be able to close, which would've prevented the maintenance disk from working. As another note, they were called floppy disks because the original 8" and 5¼" disks were indeed floppy! The 8" disks in particular were prone to bending when picked up. When the 3½" floppy disks were designed, they used a hard plastic shell to better protect the magnetic medium, so they were no longer "floppy", but the name stuck.

The cries of the child inside Bonnie hit so hard, and really remind you how the game’s story really started. Matpat’s mentioned before that we often forget about how truly sad the story is, and it’s true. We all make jokes like “Oh, funny purple guy! Man behind the slaughter!”, but when you really think about it, it’s so sad and unsettling. Kids died, probably in horrible ways. They might’ve not even been fully dead when they were brutally stuffed in the suits. Parents were devastated. Hearing those cries is just downright painful. I don’t often get actual chills from FNaF (not anymore), but this did it for me. It made me freeze up and had my skin covered in goose bumps. I really hope the mainstream games lean more into this type of horror, as it’s something I think we can all agree has been lost in the franchise.

(Im just stating this from memory) I think it was something like "If you've come this far, you've seen too much. At this point the animatronic should become fully hostile due to your recent tamperings. Accept your death with open arms because the door is now locked."

For those curious, the final step in Maintenance Report reads: "4. Mandatory Suicide If you've made it this far you've seen too much. At this point, the animatronic should become fully aware and hostile because of your recent tamperings. Accept your death with open arms because the door is now locked and you can/will not from this room. Even if you somehow manage to evade this situation, do not think you have saved yourself because I will know." There's approximately 13 lines to the paragraph, with roughly 8 being entirely decipherable. Based on letter shapes and what I can infer, line 9 reads as "Do keep in mind I know where you and your family live." Line 10/11 looks roughly like "You must realize by now that suicide is necessary." In 12/13 it looks like it's goading you a little. "[?[ really must be a [?] [?] of [?] animatronic." It ends with what I can assume is "Do suffer in peace", however I'm not quite sure if the second word is correct (I can't see the tails of an S and it is a longer word than "rest", but the final sentence is definitely "do [blank] in peace") . If anyone can suggest or help me infer I'd love to have the whole 4th step complete, just for posterities sake and because my eyes hurt. Edit: Using some measuring and general english formatting, I've come up with the relative length of each word in line 12/13. Word one: 11 letters, give or take 1 or 2. Word two: 6 letters with 2 repeating, and a y. _"Really"_ Word three: 4 letters. I assume it's _"Must"_ Word four: 2 letters. Must be a determinative. _"Be"_ Word five: 1 letter. Must be a determinative. _"A"_ Word six: 4 letters, give or take 1 or 2. Word seven: 4 letters, give or take 1 or 2. Word eight: 2 letters. Must be a determinative. _"Of"_ Word nine: 8 letters, give or take 1. Word ten: 12 letters, give or take 1 or 2. The grammar in the writing as a whole is fine with minimal errors or typos, so I can assume that Spectre is a native English speaker. I am confident with what I've found so far, and really I could probably ask directly if I got it all correct, but I'm shy 👉👈

"[It/There] really must be a [child/corpse] [inside] of [that] animatronic." ...? I didn't look to see if they fit the shapes, just inferring based on the blanks.

@@avengingme If you could see the screenshot I used to decipher all of this you'd laugh; it's a blurry mess. The structure of the sentence is strange, as there are several long words. "[long] really must be a [short] [short] of [medium] [long]." I have no idea what the first word could be, besides maybe disappearance/disappearing.
