The freezing cold water swim challenge and all of Mark's other crazy challenges! Can't wait to see what 2025 has in store.

How to make the swim portion more exiting? Do like in cyclocross; add hurdles to climb over! Floating bounce castle! Oh, the possibilities are not exactly endless, but they're there

If the PTO races were team-orientated, in a similar way to cycling, it could be more exciting. You can draft within your team, attack solo (Pogacar-esque), or sneakily decide to have a domestique attack for your team to burn other teams' matches. The only requirement was that everyone in the team has to finish within a certain time limit, or placing, of the first person across the line for the result to count.

This is really good. May I suggest a simple cheap massive upgrade to your audio for 2025 would be addition of rug & blankets for sound absorption to reduce reverb in the studio for 2025. Congrats on fatherhood, Merry Christmas & happy New Year!

Different goofy challenges (cheap shoes, pink trisuit, etc.) were the best!!

22:35 “We are going to create a short of that without context”. Ollie was so in it that he didn’t catch the joke 😂 +1 vote for that short, starting at 22:30!

I know you have done many shows on beginning swimming, but for selfish reason, I would love to see a swimming segment on swimming/improving swimming with an inherent disadvantage. For me, the two that apply is asthma while swimming. I can run and bike forever, but I spend too much of the swim on my back trying to get breath. Also, poor shoulder mobility. As my range of motion has improved I’ve noticed much of my poor swim technique has to do with my shoulders holding me back leading to poor glide, poor rotation, weird recovery, etc.

And even to go a step further. I thought bikes could have white in the rear of the bike and black on the front. Like a Crookes radiometer. White repels light and black absorbs it. I know its not much, but they are always looking for any little help. May make a slight difference over a 100 miles

Deep dive story suggestion, older athletes coming back from major injury requiring surgery. Things to think about and how to do it. I’m just coming back from a hip replacement. Making progress. DM me if you want to know more for background and thoughts on things to cover.

T-100 Boring & Boiling venues - It's synthetic racing cooked up in some made for TV lab🙄 They Hijacked the Escape from Alcatraz event which provided the best Men's finish of the year. San Francisco as they call it is not listed on the 2025 schedule. Instead they are going back to the same boring and not friendly to bike venues. Kona, Nice & Taupo were epic in 2024. T100 cannot compete with Ironman Pro Series venues. They were much better in places like Edmonton but they have now defaulted to places that are heat survival tests vs athletic competition. There are so many beautiful and natural courses around the world yet T100 can't find them.🤔

If you want exciting races, look back to the Tooheys Blue Series in Australia. Fantastic formats and thrilling athletes.

I remember texting lionel sanders this about colors. Back when should have won, kona. He was wearing black in his early races. He never responded. It's not a surprise.

Merry Christmas GTN/GCN! Mark got an early pressie by running with Kilian Jornet. He’s a massive fan, in case you didn’t know! 😋 To the presenters, if you could do a a video with your sporting hero, a) who would it be? b) why? c) What would do in the video?

So much effort went into losing the belly, only to discover it's actually quite aerodynamic.

Thanks GTN for your efforts - fab progression of coverage my thoughts No to drafting - it should just be enforced more effectively - you in essence remove the use of TT bikes / time bonuses are interesting I think the swim is entertaining.. in the men’s there is switching and some seriously fast times and as someone who races I think it’s about people understanding the true level you have to be at to do these times. T100 has been great - I think they have needed to settle the races and organisation has been really hard / the pro differences / the effect on the pros going from standard to t100 to middle distance to Ironman makes sense and most age groupers really enjoyed the distance and way you were treated through the race. Whilst protein news gave the suggestion Ironman world champs was incomparable this may be true, Ironman has had more time, the brand is worse and the number of people at the world champs is relatively vs total age groupers. Overall t100 is keeping Ironman honest and that is brilliant. I hope challenge gains support from athletes given lower cost and the races often are more enjoyable than Ironman branded middle distance races which can at times feel like you’re in a procession and not respected. Ideas; perhaps other awesome races either triathlon or trail runs or gravel or athletes from other sports and their mentality or experiences through a race. Gcn and gtn team work across a race (collab with pro Tri news?) Eg Dan Lloyd is doing (yup Dan, it’s locked 😂) a charity ride over something like 300 miles (roughly) - they could do that as a group

it's a shame our sport looks so hideous from the outside... the bikes, the helmets, the kit... marginal gains, I know but we're all looking like clowns. I agree, drafting should be legal and there should be extra points on the course. A proper technical trail run to finish it off would also be more interesting to watch.
