In fact, the lead developer (i think it was him) of naughty said that they would love to have done to Jak n Daxter what Insomniac did to RnC as the people in the studio still hold a lot of love for the game. Sadly, Sony has the rights to said game. On the brightside however, I'm pretty sure we got news about some JnD things being in the work or atleast being an idea of what to do....

Damas never called him Mar, what he actually says is "Our lineage with the house of Mar." meaning he's a descendant of Mar, not as Ashelin interprets it as Jak being the Mar, he was Jak's ancestor. I think it's also telling that Jak still goes by Jak, if he were the Mar, then the legends would refer to him by the name which he refers to himself and he's introduces himself as Jak. They won't name it because the story is already convoluted to high hell. New potential fans won't get it and at least half of the older fan base will complain no matter which way they go since there's no good way out of the time shenanigans without an asspull.

Remember the Easter eggs from Jak 2 and R&C: Going Commando. They should make a team-up game where the rifts in Ratchet and Clank connect to Jaks world, and vice-versa, another precursor gate links to Ratchet and Clanks Universe. R&C have access to the morph gun in Jak and Daxter and Jak gets access to some R&C weapons and gadgets.
