My Precise Fill does maybe 1/3 of the water in this video. I feel like all it is doing is beating up damp clothes. I know they say it uses less water than what you're used to, but I feel like the clothes should at least be sitting in some appreciable amount of water. I'd like to use it, but can't trust it. Gotta go old school "select a level" with mine. Super fast washes, though.

Powerful washing, looks like it could clean heavy soiled items. I definitely would use a lighter wash cycle with this washer for everyday wear. The agitator makes all the difference since it has those added side panels. Not only is the wash plate moving the clothes but it acts as a straight vane agitator as well.

@@jeromedavis8575 This works pretty well at getting out dirt. It was the closes machine to the old ones that actually moved clothes. The problem with this machine and others now, is that the barrel moves around, unlike the old ones that were fixed. We bought this washer 2 week’s ago to replace a 3 year old Kenmore HE top loader. We love it! We have 3 kids and lots of laundry. The one quirk we’ve noticed is if you select “cool” temp for the water, then it’s a different temp depending on what cycle you choose. The cool for whites is warmer different than the cool for casual. Otherwise, we are pleased.

Kirk, If you look at the inside of the cap on the detergent bottle you'll find that there are measurements that tell you how much detergent to put in. This load only needed to go to the first level based on the load size. On a front loader this could have resulted in hours of repeated rinses. This is a really great performing machine. I agree with you about the combined washplate with center post. Whirlpool currently offers that combination with Maytag's agitator line but the Whirlpool, Amana, and Roper 4816 machines use a traditional finned design which I'd like to see changed as the machine starts agitation with so little water. They're still some of the most reliable machines on the market which is my only area of concern with this GE. I hope that they've turned a corner with this series and that it's consistent reliability starts to show up in the stats soon.

I prefer finned. The clothes in this video aren't using enough water and that's where fins could be a problem. I don't use precise fill. How is it precise? Is it weighing the dirt? If 9 shirts are worn in an office and the same shirts worn to work outside, how will precise fill help? Selecting load type & how dirty etc. doesn't really work. I love this machine. Interesting video, thank you for posting. Question: the rinse cycle is only 3 minutes, is that enough? Water level looks low but a different setting might change that. I have no use for HE machines, want an actual agitator washer. My favorites--Kenmore and Whirlpool--apparently do not make "regular" washers any more, so I will consider a GE when having to buy. Another question: are the machines durable and will they last?
@toxclegend3 жыл бұрын
On my washer, which is the gtw335, if I use precise fill and turn on deep rinse, the rinse water level seems to fill to the next water level. For example: if the medium water level setting fills e basket to 1/2 and next time you use precise fill, you notice that the water level was a little below the 1/2 mark, the rinse water level will most likely fill to that 1/2 mark even if the water level for the wash portion was less than that. Hope this makes sense, I’m crap at explaining stuff lol.
