It's sad that they retired these great sounding motors. I used to ride the A1 type train and the sound was phenomonal.

I am glad we still have it in Berlin. Since BR 481 sounds similar because it has same components

@@kukiiiiiii Yeah because these trains were first built in Germany so they used the components of the German trains.

Thank you! Do you have more details? I am so curious about the details of this iconic sound. Yes, I know that dc gets converted to ac, but what physically is happening there to have this sound with kind of two gears (I know, no gears, but that is how it sounds)

@@kukiiiiiii From what I know currently, the motors heard in this video is not on the A1 type trains anymore. But I'm not sure about the motor information.

Well-- technically this is AEG because even though it was made by Adtranz, it was a product line of AEG at the time, as AEG's transportation business didn't merge with Adtranz until 1996. 嗯--虽然由Adtranz制造,这是从技术上讲从AEG的产品系列,因为AEG的交通业务不直到1996年并入Adtranz。

@Longus Li 跟C321仍有差別,因為C321起步的第一聲是平平的,而廣州地鐵的這台起步的第一聲則是像飛機起飛聲,同時製造商也不同,廣州地鐵這台的GTO-VVVF是德國的ADtranz(現今已被龐巴迪運輸收購)製造而C321則是德國西門子製造
