A very interesting film with historic clips added in. I enjoyed it very much. My impression is that it was up to ordinary people to keep the trains running and that women had a vital role to play in railway operations while always under threat of bombing. Very inspiring.

I had a neighbor that took the train to Hiroshima and arrived a few days after the bomb dropped. He said the trains were mostly running, but tickets weren't necessary and everything was just sort of on autopilot
Thanks for a very interesting collection of video/ movie clips and photos. Even from the war. How long ago did Japan have automatic doors on trains? Looks like even back in the '50s or early '60s? We are subscribed.
