Loving your channel! I lived there in 2013-2017. Some of the best times of my life so far! Spent so much time at Jimmy Dees and Sunset Grill (don’t think it’s open anymore). Had a house for two years in Yona (Winward Hills) and then another house for two years in Piti near the top of Nimitz Hill! Planning a Guam trip in 2023 🇬🇺!

Oh my gosh I miss Sunset Grill! We would go there for pizza after a day of snorkeling 💛 I was so sad when they closed 😭

Dani, Life on Guam has been kind to you! - I estimated your age to be 22-25 years old!!!. After more than decade in a land locked state, I can't wait to take in those ocean views in person. The use of the map was very useful to the viewer to understand the location on the island.

@@DaniAdams Hey was wondering if you ever heard of lost pond 🤔??.. it was around one of the areas that you showed for a good kick back chill spot...I’ve only been there once when I was a lido dude , me and some boys getting into no good we took a long hard trail to get there and leaving we found the easy way story of my life🤪

One nice thing about the island is that almost anywhere is close to the beaches. Personally I loved living in the South. Especially Ipan

I miss Guam….. First came in 1970 while in the USNavy. Stationed at Ritidian Point, Navfac Guam. Was chased off the beach by old man Atero at shotgun point…found Japanese soldier remains in the remote jungles there….even found a hand guard to a Samurai sword…but no sword.

Looking forward to my eventual return to the island. My last visit was for five months in 2019 assisting another old Guam resident and old friend…..Jeff at Jeff’s Pirates Cove. I did some underwater art back years ago and won a spot for a painting in the first version of the Guam International Airport Terminal that has since disappeared with the newest version of the Terminal. Would like to find the painting I did. Entitled Chaetodon flavocoronatus. This was a butterfly fish I discovered out diving the walls around the Blue Hole at Orote. I have been living and working for many years now in aquaculture and marine conservation management in North Borneo, Sabah, Malaysia and get back to Guam every few years between projects. Would love to permanently bring my experience and skills to the island to develop aquaculture, aquaponics, and hydroponics for Guam to be more self sufficient for food and protein rather than enslaved to the Jones Act of container ships. Love your videos!

@@donbjr95 Aww I would definitely try to reach out to the Guam Museum or even the University of Guam about your painting. Someone there might know of the paper trail to where it's being stored (or displayed!), but I really hope you reconnect with your artwork 💛

Another great video by Dani! I have heard about a waterfall that is about a mile hike into the jungle....I have only seen pictures, but it was gorgeous. Have you been yet? I have 2 more questions: Is the Manhattan Steakhouse still inside the Marriott hotel? That was the best steakhouse I have ever been to, and Ive been to several. Also, what about Martys bar? Do they still have the most sexy and prettiest bartenders on the planet? haha

Omigosh I love pub crawls! The only one I know of is the Red Dress Run and they all do a bar hop/pub crawl after the run. It's always fun seeing all the red dresses coming in when I used to bartend.

@@DaniAdams Why don’t you start one yourself? Every Friday and Saturday night you take people (who will pay for the experience) on a crawl to Guam’s hottest bars and at the end you take them to the hottest club. You can be flexible with it too so if you don’t get a minimum or crawlers you don’t do it.

From what I remember, any time of the year outside of late July-mid October is great! Between those months it tends to get heavy with rain. Other than that, it's basically summer year round! 🏝💛

From what I remember, it does tend to be more rainy in the months from July to October, but it's not every day. For sure though it's an on-and-off routine daily 😂

My family said they've recently come down pretty strict with covid precautions and restricting unvaccinated people from bars and restaurants 😥 Nonetheless you should definitely hit up the gorgeous beaches and catch the sunset. I haven't seen one that even competes with Guam's sunsets!
