So this Groot is Rocket’s best friend, but baby Groot and teen Groot are more like his son. Interestingly enough it’s confirmed that when Groot vanishes after the snap, when he says “I am Groot”, he’s calling Rocket ‘Dad’. And that post credit scene is Howard the Duck. We didn't get enough time with the original adult Groot. Granted, it is semi-implied that he's died before, but this is the first we've met him.

Deadpool wasn't part of the MCU at first because they didn't have the film rights for the X-Men, but last I heard Deadpool is going to be merged with the MCU- Deadpool 3 is currently in development, and will be the only R-rated MCU film.
