This movie tops off three fantastic movies that James Gunn has done. He is the only one that i know that can bring in the weird and fantastical properly. I will not expect a guardians of the galaxy movie going forward properly done. It will come across as a cash grab. A HUGE thank you for bringing the guardians of the galaxy a trilogy and a very beloved cast of misfits. Every single character was perfect and the stories all purposely imperfect which makes them perfect if that makes sense. God speed James Gunn and Bravo! Well done!

The time span it would take the High Evolutionary to create another Earth and have that "Earth" behave in the exact same manner as our Earth society does would take at least over century. Those creature people looked very comfortable in their day to day lives like they've been on that planet for generations. And the High Evolutionary didn't start that project until Rocket explained the filter malfunction remember? 🤔
@losoloaded4038 Жыл бұрын
They didn’t need evolution because they were created to be the prefect gene. Must’ve missed that part in the film I’d assume but that’s why they’re so advanced. Because they were essentially genetically engineered to be an advanced civilization. Also they mentioned those pod thingys they put them in had also helped them age as well

LOVED THE MOVIE! Only one problem… ADAM WARLOCK WAS HORRIBLY MISCAST. THE REAL ADAM WARLOCK IS MORE LIKE A CROSS BETWEEN DR. STRANGE AND THE VISION PERSONALITY WISE AND THIS ACTOR’S LOOK IS COMPLETELY WRONG FOR THIS CHARACTER. @howardagnew8471 Жыл бұрын
I don't get why Looper or anyone else is confused on the current Gamora: She's NOT from an alternate nor other timeline. She basically jumped through time, along with Thannos and not-the-current-Nebula. Quill's-GIrlfriend-Gamora and Current-Gamora were the exact same person -- not clones, not alternates -- up until the point in time the Avengers jumped back to retrieve the Soul Stone which triggered the biggest timeline divergence of the various infinity stone retrievals, as the current-and-past Nebulae (Nebulas? For the cosmic cloud the plural is nebulae, but I dunno if the same rule applies to its use as a proper name?) crossed their circuitry networks leading to Thannos becoming aware Avengers from his future had come back through time. Basically, 2014-Gamora was brought forward through time, skipping the events of the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie that led to the "original" Gamora to fall in love with Peter. She never had the experience of meeting Quill, her lone warrior efforts to steal the Power Stone from him to keep it from Thannos and sell it, and didn't have the experience of Quill outsmarting and defeating Ronan through unifying misfits and clever tricks. It was this series of twists and turns that got her to see Quill as more than the idiot he appears to many, and as someone that may not possess any obvious strength skills yet having an unshakeable will to walk the walk on doing the right thing with a few tricks and helping the various Guardians to realize they had a common cause and should work together. Without the experience of Quill helping Gamora overthrow Ronan despite what Gamora tried to do to Quill, 2014-Gamora didn't have the dramatic ramp to align herself so intimately with Quill. She's from a timeline forked by the Endgame Infinity Stone time heist; prior to that fork, it was the same exact timeline as the "original branch" led to the romance.

The most egregious thing for me in the entire movie is when Rocket refused to rightfully kill the High Evolutionary because “he’s a Guardian.” We’ve seen these characters mercilessly kill many people across their adventures. In this movie alone they even have a scene where they kill an entire hallway of enemies. Peter even killed a guy without remorse to revive Rocket, dragging his body across the floor and watching him die with his head submerged in water without an ounce of emotion. But sure Rocket. Way to have an empty moment of moral high ground
@terryRBNF Жыл бұрын
That's to show Rocket's triumph over his own pain and anger and to show he's a better being than the High Evolutionary
@karimrashidpour9378 Жыл бұрын
I don't think it's a matter of high morals or demonstrating that he is superior. I think that by doing this Rocket showed two things: 1 - He is embracing his role as a Guardian which means that he is moving on from the past. Moving on from the past also means that he doesn't need revenge anymore because it is not important anymore. 2 - All the killings done in the movie are done to defend someone you love or to defend innocents. As you mentioned with what Peter did to save Rocket, the Guardians only attacked and killed people after they were attacked. Additionally, the morally grey points do exist even considering these aspects but you should understand that all of them come from a criminal/difficult background and that all of the movies are about moving on and understanding their role in the world. Rocket is not showing his superiority here, but by making this decision he is showing that he doesn't have the anger and the violence of the past anymore. And that is why the writing of the movie is simple but at the same time brilliant.
