Yep. I’m no May fan (proud leftie here) but the difference in tone is astonishing. At least May had some class and dignity about her. When she talks about holding no ill will vs Boris’s rant about herd mentality. There is a reason why I don’t dislike May as a human, yet I find Boris to be utterly contemptible.

This is so sad. I feel so sorry for her. She literally got beaten down over and over again, trying to get us out of the EU like we voted, and then she gets blamed when it doesn't happen, when even the MPs themselves couldn't vote on an alternative action. I am not interested in politics, nor do I believe in borders, or wars, or even countries, but I think that this woman being forced out of a job she loved before her time was up is a disgrace. Whoever takes over from her IS NOT going to do a better job. The EU IS NOT receptive to us leaving, and would have beaten down ANYONE in her place. This is so sad.

@@bighands69 The 'normal rules of finance', does that also happen to include banker bailouts, subsidizing corporate greed, huge tax cuts for the ultra wealthy, selling arms to backwards regimes, wars & conflicts, etc etc? All of that is fine, but ravaging austerity and callous cuts which result in the deaths of thousands of disabled & mentally ill people is just 'something that will always exist'. But ah who cares, right? I'm fine, so why bother? I'll just excuse it all and say life isn't fair, poor families ill always exist. Congratulations on being a useful idi0t for the 0.1 percent.

Truly speaking, the PM put herself forward bravely to serve the country, the task is not easy at all and she worked extremely hard full of confidence, where all the voters out run a way and refused to face the real life. The voters out have to come on board and do the job they campaigned for. But they run a way as easy as possible. As her personality was high better than men prime ministers. I think men prime ministers they couldn’t do part of what she did, I hope they will not end the country in mess.

She is only human, she tried the best she could albeit hasn't turned out fruitful .. But it was almost impossible not to admire her bravery and determination, her sheer ability to get up each morning and go striding into work, looking bright, brave and confident. A lesser woman, a lesser person, would have collapsed under the strain long ago, and I truly, genuinely, admire her sheer fortitude.

Did she care about Melanie Shaw and other survivors? No! They've been persecuted before she was even PM. How many times did she laugh in Parliament, when Corbyn brought up real life situations of people suffering?? Not that I like him either. What goes around, comes around. May was (as her predecessor) a staunch remainer). Her only purpose - to pass time. Precisely what she did. Time is the remainers' best friend. WeirdCity If the UK does not leave the EU what this will demonstrate is that politics does not matter and that there is no point voting. There are whole regions of the UK right now who are disillusioned with the state of British culture, politics and voting. This could set off a series of events not seen in the UK since the 1930s. I doubt that the politicians in office really understand the fire they are playing with.
@Weird-City
@Weird-City 5 жыл бұрын
@@bighands69Okay. But now take into account the passing of time. Polls are already showing massive public lethargy over Brexit. Some show a total swing on Brexit. Time is a powerful tool in politics. Remember Iraq and the WMD's. A little time was all it took (in the form of the farcical Chilcot inquiry) - and the vast majority of the British public had moved on with their lives. If you genuinely cannot see that this is nothing more than an exercise in "buying time" - then I really don't know what I could say that could convince you otherwise. But if 3 years of time wasting isn't enough to motivate the British voters to rise up, how long do you think is? Do you believe Brexit is still a majority view? Does it matter if it isn't? Are the Russians laughing their ushanka's off? I guess time, will tell!
