Are those grenadiers or Canadians wearing british head wear?

Canadians. They have their own regiments of foot guards. Governor Generals Foot Guards of Ottawa and the Canadian Grenadier Guards of Montreal.

The Sergeant Major addressing the camera was a member of the Canadian Grenadier Guards from Montreal. Note the red band and the brass grenade on his forage cap. The guards in the bearskins with the white plumes on the side are the same regiment. The ones with the red plumes are members of the Governor General's Foot Guards, based in Ottawa.

How so?

Saw them this summer - this pan CF thing is not working out well. Drill was not very inspiring and most lacked much drive on parade. Not surprising considering many are not from the CGG or GGFG.

Yeah, I think that they should create a seperate ceremonial battalion for the Pan-CF soldiers.

Ah no, I rather have similar to the RAF's Queen's Colour Squadron of the RAF Regt, a separate RCN Naval Colour Squadron, and retain the GGFG, CG, and R22R

I have seen CGG and GGFG do drills. Can't say they impressed me much either. In any case wherever people have come from is utterly irrelevant. If those responsible for teaching drill or imposing standards do a good job you will get the proper results just the same. I assume it's senior folks from CGG or GGFG who set and apply those standards at the end of the day. So there's no excuse.

Or something like the Australian federation guard

You might consider that these people are in training. By the time they reach Parliament Hill in full parade dress, they'll be a match to any parade regiment anywhere.
