For some reason I really like the videos where you do a voice over (like your old ones and your last one) instead of talking while you're cooking. Maybe if you want to switch up your channel a bit you could try a few different series' like kitchen tips/hacks, food photography, kitchen organization, your favorite gadgets, etc. I still love your channel!
@KitchenCraftFood7 жыл бұрын
I enjoy both the old and this new style of shooting. I don't mind some of the instability and focusing issues with the footage...it's imperfect in a good way. There are a few parts where a gimbal might have been handy, but overall pretty sweet. Nice job man.

People are difficult at times. If he doesn't change it up then you would hear "oh he needs to change it up a lil" and when it does happen"oh why did you change things, I love the old way better". Learn to appreciate people's change and admire and test the recipes more. Wonderful recipe and content, as always.

JinxedKaetzchen basically the same as any ripe fruit for the most part. If it’s mildly soft and lightly dents when pressed, it’s ready to go. The hard ones are apparently good when sliced up and mixed with lime, salt, and spicy red pepper!

You guys! I dont think the camera work is bad at all, looks nice. I think the problem is the editing, the mixing of all the scenes that are not still may be what throws you off. Specially if you're a visual learner (like I myself got lost) but if these vids aren't for learning they are definitely beautiful to just watch.

Camera tip, have whoever's filming film on a lower aperture (f/5.6-f.8) that way you won't be drifting out of focus all the time. The higher the aperture (f/2.8-f/5.6) the smaller the focus window, the more likely you'll be going in and out of focus, even if you move just an inch or so within the frame. That might address all the focus-drifting complaints you're getting
@KitchenConfidence7 жыл бұрын
I think this is a much better balance between your previous video style and the newer one you've recently been using. The same issue still has been the audio. You often trail off when speaking and it comes across very poorly because at times you have music also playing that overlaps when you're speaking. Great video/recipe, thanks for sharing!

Ice cream machines are expensive. You can set your froyo in a freezer/piping bag by smooshing/mixing it in the bag every 10 or so minutes while it comes down to 0 in the freezer. Consistency isn't perfect unless you're really thorough, but it beats spending hundreds on an ice cream machine you'll use maybe a dozen times if you're lucky.
@timeladie7 жыл бұрын
I actually used your advice! Though the piping bag didn't really work for me, so I ended up doing in a bowl. Didn't turned out that smooth but still good

Hi Byron, This dessert looks amazing! Two questions: 1) what is the brown sauce that you added to the guava slices used for topping. It looked liked vanilla but I could not hear clearly what you said it was. 2) What is the rack that you put the cones in to hold while filling with the frozen yogurt? Can you provide a link? Thanks. I'm not decided how well I like the new format because I can't hear clearly everything that you're saying. A little frustrating when you're trying to learn how to make a recipe.

I know you’re trying to find a new sort of style to your videos that could really improve your video quality, I think these new videos could use a bit more polishing. I don’t have a problem with the visuals. In fact I think it’s a bit food network esque. I recommend just talking with a bit more confidence in your voice. When you speak a little low and quiet, your voice has a bit of a vocal fry, or there’s just some odd whispering. The volume in your voice is just a bit inconsistent, which makes the video hard to listen to and the music is in weird places and can overlap with your whisper-talking. There are some other irksome problems with the audio such as sighing or breathing quite loudly and sounds that aren’t pleasant to hear such as the stand mixer go on too long. Please don’t take this as a hate comment, but as constructive criticism. I loved your old videos, and definitely think they need a well deserved update, but this new style also deserves new improvements.

I love how passionate you are for your craft and I can tell that by actually looking at you. The way you cook the way your focused on preparing the food to perfection but this video has one major flaw... there is no connection! You need to look and smile at the camera and keep the audience engaged people are not going to like this new style cause it feels dead sad somber even when you looked at the camera you didn't crack even crack a smile once while you were cooking. You need to take less shots of cooking the food and more shots of yourself, tell a story why did you want to make this dish did you have a memory while you were cooking this dish or is it simply a food experiment we need to know and understand these things! The key to making videos like these is engaging the audience I have to connect with you while I salivate at the food you make and I didn't feel any connection and I am pretty certain that there were people who watched this video who felt the same way. I can honestly see you on food network oneday having your own cooking show but, in order for that to happen you need to show a bit of personality otherwise like I stated previously people will change the channel or in this case watch a different video. In terms of food and teaching people how to cook you did outstanding in terms of connecting with your audience you did horrible there is nothing that is telling me that I should keep on watching this video. I am not trying to bash you in anyway, shape, or form I just like to give a constructive amount of criticism that I feel as if will help you in the long run. COOK WELL BE GREAT!!!
